Have you ever worked for a corporation? Because that is PRECISELY how it works... the corporation Division is given a set budget for salaries and pay increases.... if the top takes most of the increase allotted in their payroll budget, then the rest of the employees get less.

Get less of the increase or take a pay cut?

You do realize a smaller than desired increase is still an increase don't you?

You do realize that if your salary is not actually reduced then you did not take a pay cut don't you?

That’s fine but if CEOs continue to get paid 300x the average employee vs 20x as was in the 80s then you have a self fulfilling prophecy of creating more and more socialists.

And the only way to combat it is with high taxes on the richest... Over the phone with the right information you people would all be Democrats....

If I made $100mil at 40% I pay $40mil. How much more do you want me to pay? What tax rate is fair in your opinion? Note that many Democrats are rich too.

I look at it this way

Our government can look at corporate compensation of the middle class and ask corporations to do something about it. The expected response will be something along the lines of ....Go fuk yourself

Or our government can look at policies in place to help corporations and begin to adjust those policies to help the working class more
