What defines “fake growth?” I could go along with “unsustainable growth” but fake? That’s not really a thing.

China posts fake growth every year. They build an empty city and that counts for GDP, though it's a wasted investment. The US does the same because we deficit spend and don't prioritize value. Yes, I used 'fake growth' because it's both descriptively accurate and an obvious play on fake news.
