Tax differentials due to the limit on SALT deductions will become critical if the Ds do not win both houses of congress this year. The odds against the Ds winning the senate are roughly 3 to 1. Even if they do win President Trump can use his phone and pen to prevent any real progress on repealing the SALT deduction limit.

If the Ds win the house but not the Senate then the smart move will be from the blue wall to the red edge for everyone who has SALT greater than the deduction limit.

Default will lead to bail-outs.

Bail-outs will lead to corruption investigations and repeal of sanctuary status.
