I think Trump cultists should be required to make up that difference. It's only fair. They caused this disaster, so they should pay for it. I know that the whole reason conservatives are conservatives is because that allows them to avoid responsibility, but this time they're taking it too far.

They help distribute vaccines for everything from smallpox to measles, polio to malaria. With only increasing vaccine reluctance, another pandemic is only a matter of time. From any perspective, this second Trump administration is quickly descending into a shit show of increasing fumbles. But nothing exemplifies it more than Musk and DOGE. DOGE has been caught numerous times inflating perceived, or "projected" savings. Has restating those savings at significantly lower levels. And on the other hand, blindly slashed vital jobs that were quickly reinstated. At the same time, they have disrupted vital supply chains, consolidated power of oligopolies, and laid a torch to food diversity. Worse, they have vastly increased the risk of another pandemic, carried in from abroad, but this time, not a new disease, an old one.

These cuts, I mean Musk, so in your face and all consumed, actually yielding a chainsaw. Not knowing, like many of his rabid supporters in the Trump community, the real symbolism held within. Except, yeah, Musk knew. And here is the thing. These proclaimed numbers, they are mere projections, usually over a ten year period. Someone needs to come up with an alternate "clock" or numbers keeper. Deaths. Because believe me, they are a coming. Rather it is logging accidents on previously closed out public lands, or polio deaths in India, yeah India. Dead is dead. And I am not talking about projections, I am talking about increased deaths across all types of categories.

Take those supposed gang members taken to that El Salvadoran prison. Some of them are going to end up dead. That is on the Trump administration. And yeah, maybe they were gang members.
