Why is this political? Doesn't every American taxpayer want the Big Three - Fraud, Waste, and Abuse - to be fought and minimized?

Every Federal Department has an Inspector General whose job it is to find and eliminate fraud. They appear to be doing a piss-poor job of it, especially in the biggest spending Department, the Department of War. SOMEBODY needs to provide some leadership, so that the life-tenured bureaucrats don't get a complete "pass" on doing their fukking job. Maybe JDV can help.

DOGE is looking for waste as well as fraud. It was created with the insight that the private sector, represented by Our Beloved President, is more cost conscious than those who perpetually spend OPM and don't really give a shit.

Again, why is this political? Is it just another manifestation of TDS? Trump is doing it, so "we" must fight it?
