In 1968, President Johnson was a late exit and RFK was unfortunately whacked, leaving the conventioneers without much of a choice. Here in 2020, they are seeking to displace the undisputed victor in the primary system, even though the voters in the primaries knew up front that Sleepy Joe was senile and didn't know what state he is in.

There's no doubt in my mind that Biden is the Democratic version of Donald Trump but without the megalomania and pathological lying. Neither one is competent to serve as POTUS as opposed to 1968 when there was one candidate fully capable of leading:

Not surprising. Polls are a snapshot in time. Cuomo is doing a stellar job communicating and handling the crisis in NY while Joe has been quiet. It’s not a surprise that people are showing support. Are you really surprised by it?

Both parties have sanitized their candidate to be picked for many decades. Trump was a surprise. But Biden is the sanitized candidate like Trump won in the 2016 primaries. Now you are going to have the back room deals that smell of worse corruption then putting Biden in to get rid of Sanders.

I think it's silly to compare Trump the candidate vs REALITY that has been Trump's presidency.

He more like a shiny gimmic that gets old pretty fast. I'd say there is now a sizable portion of electorate that just wants a comeback to normacy and uncle Joe fits that bill well.
