Since President Trump’s first term, Brad S. Karp, the chairman of the law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, championed himself as a bulwark against what he saw as an unlawful and unpredictable presidency.

Mr. Karp, who has a long history of fund-raising for Democrats, sought to unite major law firms in “a call to arms” to fight Mr. Trump in court on issues like his administration’s policy of separating migrant children from their parents. He publicly said lawyers were obligated to defend the rule of law.

He hosted a “Lawyers for Biden” fund-raiser in 2023, and one of his top partners prepared Vice President Kamala Harris for her debates with Mr. Trump.

So it was not surprising that Mr. Trump targeted Paul Weiss with an executive order last week that created a potential existential threat for the firm, although the order was legally dubious and undercut fundamental principles of the justice system. In response, Mr. Karp began discussions with another big firm about presenting a unified and bipartisan front and challenging the order in court.

In the minds of MAGA, all of Trump's behaviors are absolutely appropriate, Trump's cabinet picks are all perfectly suited for their positions, and GQP leadership like Trump, MTG and the rest are all dignified professionals.

If you administered truth serum to these people, they would say the same thing. One of my brothers lives in the UK, and the only way I can explain this to him is to point to history. This is a true, literal, historic group pathology. The descriptor "alternate universe" is perfectly appropriate.

Their accusations are widely understood to be false. Military records (released by Kerry’s campaign) backed up his combat claims. And while most of the swift boat veterans who spoke out against Kerry did not serve with him directly, the ones who did publicly supported his version of events.

In a 2018 Fresh Air interview, Kerry said his critics “just made things up … left, right and center,” and that the proof his campaign offered was no match for their “alternative facts.”

“The problem was that the right wing got behind this with major funding from some of the very same names who are doing major right-wing funding in the country today,” Kerry said. “And they started to pick up on these alternative facts and pushed them out there in the context of … television advertisements.”

So, to support your claim that the accusations were FALSE, you cite Kerry SAYING that they are false, and then discuss the funding of the group.

It’s more than being pro-Palestinian. There is rampant antisemitism on Columbia.’s campus, and it reached a violent stage with these anti-Israel “protests” - which are largely FUELED by Jew-hate. (If not, we’d have protests against countries actually committing genocide instead of “Death to Jews!” chants.)
