The Decline Of Unions

And the owners don't build them, or maintain them, or crew them.

They pay people to do that, and those are decent paying jobs.
Glorification of Gilligan

You're taking the decent wages of a few deckhands to justify the excluded misery of the many, who enabled the Plute to cruise in luxury. That's "The Exception Disproves the Rule," an example of the slippery, dishonest, and predatory logic taught at the ewe-niversities.

There's Your Swamp. It Capsizes All Other Boats.
No, those craftsmen employ other craftsmen, who also enjoy boats, so they buy their boats from them.

In your world of socialism the company's make the same low quality garbage because that's all they are capable of.

And the people don't know any better because they have never experienced quality.

You want a socialist car, go buy a Trabant. A piece of shit.

You want quality you buy a Lambo

Not at all. There are hundreds of companies involved in building a yacht. Not just the yacht builders and the yards that maintain the yachts- you have companies that build the propulsion systems, the watermakers, the generators, the galley equipment, the navigation equipment, the HVAC systems, and so on.

There are thousands of skilled-labor jobs that are supported whenever a new yacht is built.

But your masters do, that's why they unionize with chambers of commerce, industry-specific associations and guilds, super-PACs, NGO non-profit front organizations, armies of lobbyists bribing politicians in the halls of government, think tanks full of academics writing legislation that they give to the lobbyists who then hand it to lawmakers..etc. The wealthy ruling elites, the big-money capitalist employers (i.e. exploiters), have absolutely no issue with unionizing, among themselves. They bargain collectively with the government, defending their class interests, because they're class conscious, unlike most American workers who are like you, completely brainwashed by their capitalist masters.

It's a fact that union workers make more money and have more and better benefits. They're better protected, in every way imaginable. When I discuss this issue with brainwashed working-class people like you, I remind them that it was the unions and its members who made sure we got our 40-hour work week, our overtime pay, our unemployment benefits/insurance, pensions, sick leave, better workplace conditions, social security, medicare, Medicaid..etc. It wasn't the right-wingers who grappled with their wealthy, powerful employers, it was the leftists, who secured all of these laws and benefits for the American workforce. You're an ingrate. Your masters love to see workers divided, "bargaining" in isolation, without the leverage of a labor union. It's better for them, but dismal for the working class.

If it weren't for unions and their members, we would still be working 12, 14 hour shifts for peanuts, without any rights. It's mindless dingleberries like you who make America unlivable. You're treacherous, fighting against your own financial, and class interests as a working-class person, spreading anti-worker, capitalist-elitist propaganda. You're a working-class person, what the hell are you thinking? You're not thinking, that's the problem.

All brought about by government either regulating the businesses so bad that they had to leave, or they were paid to leave by government intrusion.
Bullshit, it was due to greed. The capitalist elites finally got their man into office in the 1980s, we all know what his name was. He deregulated commerce, to the point that he gutted our manufacturing base and workforce, like a fish. Labor union busting, and of course encouraging through bad policy what we now call globalist neoliberalism. Essentially allowing American employers to practice the worst form of economic cannibalism.

Crazy profits in the short term to the detriment of our nation's economy and working class in the long term. These business fat-cats, only see huge profits in the short term and don't care about the negative repercussions of their economic cannibalism. You right-wing conservative Republicans turned our economy into a circus of speculative trading, based on Wall Street and big finance.

During the COVID pandemic, our medical professionals didn't have the safety equipment, or the gear that they needed because we had to import it from India and China. Pathetic. We had to produce the ventilators, and we didn't have the manufacturing infrastructure to do it, so tens of thousands of lives were lost, that could've been saved.

They move jobs abroad, manufacturing everything over there that they once produced here, and then shamelessly sell those products here to the people they let go, who ironically and sadly, used to work in the factories here at home, producing those same products,
MADE IN THE USA. Better quality, a better outcome for the American people. I'm willing to pay an extra buck or two, for a coffee mug made in the USA. The coffee and the hot chocolate taste better, when I drink it from a mug made in the USA.

Zero-Sum Thinking: "Anyone Who Criticizes Capitalism Must Be a Socialist"

You pathetic bootlickers think that if anyone doesn't worship your father-figures, he must be looking to the government for his own father-figures.

I criticize capitalism all the time, when it deserves it. You try and blame capitalism for the evils of fascism.

Boy how wrong are you?

On Tuesday, federal officials reported a 29% jump in union election petitions during the most recent fiscal year, rising from 2,593 in 2023 to 3,286 in 2024

Why? Because they saw unions score big wins in 2023 and 2024. Power to the workers.
