I was 1099 for many years but not in the trucking industry that shit is way over regulated to make a buck.

It is over regulated...and I don't make as much as I used to. Buy, I've made a comfortable living at it and added a few trucks along the way. The big guys and the fly by nighters have screwed up the rates...and $160k trucks and 50k trailers haven't helped.

By the time I retire from trucking, I expect most of the operations of dispatch, compliance and driving will be automated by AI.

Maybe sooner.
