The current Budget impasse is silly

Our demented and incumbent, President Potato, wants an unmitigated amount in the budget for social and green programs.

Our Republican led House wants to focus on our debt and deficit problems.

The two sides cannot agree.

We all know that Potato is hoping to cause a Constitutional level crisis at the expense of seniors on social security and Medicare as well as on the backs of our servicemen and service women who may get their meager pay withheld for the duration of the showdown starting maybe as soon as June 1, 2023. He wants to be able to point to the GOP to blame them.

Meanwhile, if he actually gave a shit about the folks who would be hurt by a “default,” the scumbag senior citizen conman could agree to reduce spending.

But I say, let the House pass the proper budget. Ignore Brandon’s absurd proposal. Pass the budget that makes fiscal sense and then let the Dim Senate reject it or pass it. And if the Senate passes it, put Brandon on the spot. He can veto it if he wants.

But the GOP House should hold firm.

That is just total bullshit. The debt ceiling needs to be increased to accommodate spending that has ALREADY BEEN PASSED by Congress. Republicans are attempting to relitigate legislation that has already passed, holding the financial solvency of the US hostage. If they want to cut spending, then we can have that discussion. They can adjust spending in budgets going forward, but they can't change appropriations that have already passed the House, the Senate, and were signed by the President.
