They convince themselves they don't believe in Satan and they are Atheists. This is the logic they follow according to Wikipedia. They are deceived. They WORSHIP Satan

The church of satan doesnt believe in doing bad things to others.

They say that because they know being truthful is a virtue, in between human sacrifices while worshiping the prince of darkness, but I think that is only common sense.
