CDC: Out of 75 million fully vaccinated Americans, 5,800 got COVID-19, and 74 died

  • About 5,800 of 75 million fully vaccinated Americans have gotten COVID-19, according to the CDC.
  • Such "breakthrough" cases are to be expected, the CDC said, as vaccines aren't 100% effective.
  • They're rare, affecting about 0.008% of vaccinated people, but more common in older adults.

Well shet my mouf!

Okay, and?

If everyone's vaccinated then the number of cases would be severely reduced, the number of people passing it on is reduced and everyone is safer.

So vaccines work?
It does not mean they are necessary since covid-19 is not endemic and can't come back.
The best way to save the most lives would have been deliberate infection of volunteers last March.
Then it would have been over in a month, with fewer than 60,000 dead.
