this article is worth the read just to get a glimpse into the minds of rabid and irrational progressives

many of them do want to take America down

before I link and quote the article, I'd like to point out some information that they felt was important to share about themselves (for those who don't wanna click the link)

Mostly law professors, blogging on whatever we please since 2002 · Hosted by The Washington Post, 2014-2017 · Hosted by Reason 2017 · Sometimes contrarian · Often libertarian · Always independent

I would like to say that I am surprised that WaPo is aligned with these fools, but I am not. Not surprised at all...

Also not surprised that "law professors" are pushing this type of tripe

to be fair, some of the comments are encouraging

The Case Against Deporting Immigrants Convicted of Crimes

quote:
...few if any commentators question the basic idea that it is entirely justifiable to deport immigrants who are gang members, or commit other crimes. That view is common ground to almost everyone in mainstream politics, not just Trumpist immigration hawks. But, however popular it may be, that conclusion is wrong. Immigrants who commit offenses worthy of retribution should be punished. But they should not be subjected to any more punishment than native-born Americans who commit the same crimes. That means they should not be deported, unless deportation is also imposed on natives.

after that, we are treated to their explanation about this:

quote:
I. How Deportation is Like Racial Discrimination.

you want moar???

quote:
giving people extra punishment for choosing the wrong parents is exactly what we do when we deport immigrant offenders, but not natives who have been convicted of the same crimes. In the overwhelming majority of cases, what distinguishes an immigrant from a citizen is some combination of who their parents were and where they were born.

the rest of their thesis points:

quote:
II. Why it Doesn't Matter that Deportation Technically is not a Form of Criminal Punishment.

III. What About Equal-Opportunity Deportation?

don't ever let anyone tell you that liberalism is not a mental disorder

WaPo, The Volokh Conspiracy, Reason etc. are libertarian. Indeed, George Mason University is notoriously libertarian.

Laughable, laughable left wing porn article.

You moron "law professors", they get deported because they are in the country illegally. The punishment for that crime is always the same. I think we have ignored these illegals for long enough now as even law professors can't recall the just punishment. Get the deportation trucks rolling.

Bill Maher labels himself libertarian as well
