The blowback from the Media Nazi references and incitement to mob actions.

It's all in play. The references calling folks Nazis for not voting Democrat and electing Trump. The references to slavery, Japanese internment, and calls for "getting in their faces". The threats to politicians and elected officials and the folks who fight the daily border wars.

What this cadre of conspirators needs to know is that THEY will be responsible for the escalation of rhetoric and actions. And the American people WILL hold them responsible for any inflammation and violence that results. And for the Dems, they need to understand that going on Nazi comparison binge over the required detainment at the Southern border is gonna FURTHER alienate that "dependable Jewish vote". Or the "dependable Black vote" when it's compared to slavery. Or the maybe NOT dependable Asian vote when all this this is hysterically compared to "internment".

Cable News: 22 Comparisons of Immigration Policy to the Holocaust, Slavery

By Bill D'Agostino | June 18, 2018 11:55 PM EDT
The pundit class have officially snapped over the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance border enforcement policy. Since Friday, the collective breakdown has yielded a total of 22 instances in which cable news commentators compared the separation of parents and children illegally entering the country to World War II-era war crimes and human rights violations.

The Holocaust was invoked 12 times across CNN and MSNBC between June 15 and the 18th, generally in the form of comparisons between DHS detention centers and Nazi concentration camps. There were also six mentions of Japanese-American internment camps, as well as four comparisons to slavery.

On Friday, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough opened Morning Joe with a tasteless Holocaust reference. “Children are being marched away to showers,” he intoned, “just like the Nazis said they were taking people to the showers, and then they never came back. You’d think they would use another trick.”

Over the weekend, CNN political commentator Dave Jacobson threw a miniature tantrum over the policy. On Saturday’s CNN Newsroom during the 10 a.m. hour, he opined, “Donald Trump increasingly looks like Hitler in Nazi Germany.” The following day, he appeared again on Newsroom in the afternoon to embellish on his already hysterical take: “Increasingly, Donald Trump is turning this nation into Nazi Germany and turning these [detention centers] into concentration camps.”

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, evidently eager to join in the hyperventilating excitement, managed to last less than a minute before evoking concentration camps while hosting Hardball on Monday. Throughout the show, he repeatedly interrupted guests to draw their attention to images of crying children that flashed across the screen.

Cable News: 22 Comparisons of Immigration Policy to the Holocaust, Slavery

-------------------------------------------------------------
It’s long past time to compare Donald Trump and the Nazis

The only discernible difference between what Donald Trump is doing to undocumented immigrants on our southern border and what the Nazis did all over Europe to Jews is that the Nazis had to go from house to house to round up their victims, while all Trump’s Border Patrol has to do is wait for their victims to walk or swim across the border.

That’s it. Practically everything else is the same. The actions Trump’s Border Enforcement agents are taking when they separate immigrant children at processing centers from their parents have nothing to do with law enforcement. Neither did the Nazis when they separated Jewish children from their parents inside the gates of Buchenwald and Auschwitz and Dachau. Trump’s agents on the border are carrying out a policy promulgated by his administration. Nazi SS stormtroopers were carrying out the policy of rounding up political opponents, “undesirables,” and Jews, and incarcerating them in concentration camps. These camps were entirely extra-legal. You didn’t have to be convicted of a crime to be incarcerated in a concentration camp. Nor have the immigrants and their children being held in hastily constructed cages been convicted of crimes.

The “crime” in Hitler’s Germany and occupied countries was being Jewish. The “crime” committed by the children being rounded up and caged along our southern border is being brown and undocumented.

Cry us a river. Isn't it just a bitch when you get the shit you've been doing for 8 straight years shoved back down your throat!? God how you people hate it when you get to receive it.

Buckle up buttercup.

So how far you wanna push this? You have no problem with an 18month tantrum turning ugly? I assume you just eat this crap up daily on your Reddit feed thinking that it's GREAT for America. You ready buttercup? This what you want for the entire future? Because it's escalated WAAAAY the fuck beyond any precedents and it's gonna be HELL on wheels even if you babies ever regain any power..

A couple things, you actually believe all the rest of the world does exactly what you have imagined they do in your little bubble. Most people have never been on Reddit, who gives a shit.

Secondly you and the other mouth foamers who just loooove to threaten people online. THIS is who you are. You sit at a computer and threaten people, that's it. You don't really, all bullshit aside, think you scare anyone do you? You don't really believe that your fake bravado crap has any effect on anyone do you? You are so outside reality I feel only pity for you.

I've never threatened anyone online. And what you just responded to was not a threat, either.

They just forced a 3 year old to represent himself in immigration court.

Is that what you're defending?

I'm not defending anything. Even sad anecdotal stories that may not be complete. Kid was in the custody of an aunt. Surely THAT was determined to be his interest by the HHS that put him there. So he HAS a legal guardian. Can't fix lazy today. There's 1500 detentions at the border a DAY. That's the problem that need fixing. If the left could ARTICULATE a plan --- it would be DEARLY appreciated.

That's not who I'm attacking. Not attacking the dissent. I'm purely 100% focus on the media carcass that;s getting the juices sucked out of it by political parasites and stinking up my country.

. Did you read the OP? You think that HYSTERIA and exaggeration and Nazi calling is useful dissent? Did you view it? Gonna go full monty and endorse it? And Michael Moore's latest zingers about "people are gonna have to put their bodies on the line"? Think THAT'S just useful dissent?

I'd like folks to concentrate on the material in OP and NOT stage their own street demonstrations in the thread.

:soapbox:

But here is the difference. THAT situation was unprecedented and not caused by US - we had to deal with it. The situation today is a DIRECT result of a NEW policy enacted by the Trump administration. Can you even see that? Or - is this another free pass because today's crisis was s100% preventable!

You blew off every question I asked about the OP of this thread a couple posts ago to keep on diverting the topic. And you're already back to that failed position of this detention issue is something new. We've covered that. It's not. You cross at a CHECKPOINT and nothing gets "separated". And there is no more catch/release if you DON'T cross at a checkpoint -- got it? That's the change.

So -- any comments or answers to my questions?

Did you read the OP? You think that HYSTERIA and exaggeration and Nazi calling is useful dissent?

Except calling Trump a Nazi isn't exaggeration. It's an accurate description.

And Michael Moore's latest zingers about "people are gonna have to put their bodies on the line"? Think THAT'S just useful dissent?

Um, yeah, I do. Look, normally, we should have checks and balances that keep this kind of thing from happening when a President crosses a line and abuses his power. It was Republicans who stood up to Nixon in the end. We don't seem to have that right now.

Nope he is a REPUBLICAN.

What abuse of Power?

Now see? You just squared dumbass JoeB131 right away. He's wrong 997/1000 times.

It remains to be seen if it gets edited or not.

Feel free to provide credible references to support that position. Until you do:

I already provided them many times... you choose to ignore them or the Mods delete them....

So we have

Concentration camps.
Dehumanizing of minorities
Calling a free press the enemy of the people
Attacks on the institutions of government
Wanting to lock up political opponents..

Um... yeah, there's a word for that. It's "Nazi".

No NAZI is the NAME of a political organization, which you are ignoring.

USSR had concentration camps, actually locked up political opponents, No free press at all, murdered millions of people.

Going to call them NAZI's?

Uh, guy, turn on a TV. It's all happening right now. Sorry you are in denial.

Or kind of okay with Nazism.

Apparently it worked, Trump changed his policy.

I think Nazi comparisons are relevant. There are similarities between what's going on now and what went on in Germany in the early 30's. We are scapegoating an entire population of people as the cause of most of our problems, just like German leadership did in the early 30's with their scapegoating of the Jews.

We have a President claiming the press is the enemy of the state; just like German leadership claimed in the early 30's. Claiming something that is part of our Constitution an "enemy of the state", is the first step in taking away our freedoms.

Are we a full blown Holocaust? No. But the footsteps we are taking are definitely going in that direction.

odd how the op is not mentioning the threats made by trump......slug protesters and trump will pay your fine.....now what was that inciting....dont try and call out this when you put up with trump doing it...

hypocrite much?

But here is the difference. THAT situation was unprecedented and not caused by US - we had to deal with it. The situation today is a DIRECT result of a NEW policy enacted by the Trump administration. First off you are asking me to accept a false premise a d then chastising me for objecting to it as being off topic! And you are wrong, they WERE being separated at check point and now are actively prevented from entering at checkpoint. None of that matters in asylum law. Asylum does not require legal entry. So let’s stop pretending that that the situation now is the same as the one before!

Here is a direct response to your OP.

It's all in play. The references calling folks Nazis for not voting Democrat and electing Trump. The references to slavery, Japanese internment, and calls for "getting in their faces". The threats to politicians and elected officials and the folks who fight the daily border wars.

Really. It all is due to losing the election? Can’t possibly be the policies being innacted? Nah...it is all due to being angry over losing the election? Gee...so I guess all. So I guess all those people angry over Obama’s policies were just being racist? And all those Republicans claiming Obama was an illegitimate president are racists? Those who stated they would do whatever they could to make him a one term president were just pissed at losing the election? How about those on the right using gun sites to target politicians they wanted removed? The president himself advocating the use of violence by his supporters? What kind of message does that send?

Exactly HOW LONG are you going to blame opposition and anger to policy as “sour grapes”? One year? Four? Eight?

What this cadre of conspirators needs to know is that THEY will be responsible for the escalation of rhetoric and actions. And the American people WILL hold them responsible for any inflammation and violence that results. And for the Dems, they need to understand that going on Nazi comparison binge over the required detainment at the Southern border is gonna FURTHER alienate that "dependable Jewish vote". Or the "dependable Black vote" when it's compared to slavery. Or the maybe NOT dependable Asian vote when all this this is hysterically compared to "internment".

Yes, they will be responsible right along with the president himself and his officials who has been part of this escalation but as usual gets a free pass for the results of his policies.

And here is something I think you NEED TO SERIOUSLY think about in your critique of rhetoric. I agree with what you say about Nazi references. If you read what I post you will see I frequently object to the capricious comparison of modern politicians or events to Hitler.

BUT, around the world events and rhetoric are disturbingly reminiscent of the world in the 1930’s if you have been listening. The rise of rightwing populism and authoritarianism, the nativist and anti-immigrant rhetoric and violence, scapegoating vulnerable populations, the ACCEPTENCE of what would have once been deemed abhorant. And it is happening here. Forced seperation of kids, 100% treatment of these people as criminal not civil, indefinite detention of families in “austere” tent cities is really not much different then internment with the exception of citizenship. If this were truly a crisis (which I would define as something like 911), I could see the rationale for some of the policies but it is not.

Watch the video at MRC site below. And realize this is NOT JUST Cable news. It has leaked to "THE VIEW", to late night TV, to fairly stable places like Salon. And THEIR contribution is included below.

Joeb131 continues to ignore the definition of the word NAZI which a POLITICAL Organization in the irrational attempt to apply it to President Trump who is a listed Republican with a plank that doesn't have any of the dreadful NAZI Intentions.

"The Commies didn't do it on the basis of race... Trump is."

A totally irrational statement that utterly fails to address what NAZI IS as a political party. The Soviets did similar outrages without being a NAZI organization, a fact that zooms well over your head. Both of those horrible nations did what they did without justification, they did it because they are vile.

Here is a partial quote from post one that demonstrated the irrationality of those who idiotically use NAZI comparisons to a lawful activity at the border by law enforcement.

"The only discernible difference between what Donald Trump is doing to undocumented immigrants on our southern border and what the Nazis did all over Europe to Jews is that the Nazis had to go from house to house to round up their victims, while all Trump’s Border Patrol has to do is wait for their victims to walk or swim across the border."

The dishonest writer at Salon doesn't care that these people are BREAKING THE LAW by entering the country without permission! The Border Patrol isn't doing what the NAZI did, they wait until the people cross over the border in violation of the law, then apprehend the lawbreakers.

The NAZI's in Germany went all over the place in the nation to round up lawful residents because Shitler decided to pick on a small harmless Jewish people for scapegoating as part of their drive to manipulate nation to their own aims.
