Agreed. Since, as von Clausewitz once said, "War is the continuation of politics by other means", borders have changed due to war. The Ottoman Empire collapsed and it's borders changed with the 1916 Brit-French Sykes-Picot Agreement. The US borders changed after the Mexican-American War of 1848. Israel's borders were defined by the UN in 1947, but changed after Arab nations attacked and lost the Arab-Israeli war of 1948. Those borders changed almost every time the Arabs attacked and lost in wars against Israel.
