the biggest problem with public schools is

That's already been addressed through "differentiated instruction', and there is still widespread failure. Likely because some courses don't lend themselves to such gymnastics.

Differentiation destroys discipline and rigor and contributes to later failure, imho.
We all know what your opinions are worth.

Way too many facts and figures not to be true. In fact, I myself did poorly in school at one time due to the distractions, and I graduated in the upper half of my class (just barely). I don't think kids have changed much since, and there are more distractions today.
So, you think because you weren't very smart, other kids cannot be?

It’s team building

Did you see all the other activities they do at 3 and 4 years old?

American high school students can’t read, write their name or do basic math and metal and woodworking classes were outlawed

Department of Education needs to be vaporized
There is another lie provided by an education basher. My grandson takes carpentry in high school. He also takes plumping, electrical and HVAC. You don't know shit!

I was so smart I was often confused (and bored) about what they wanted me to learn. I often thought that it can't be this simple, that there is something I'm missing.

Maybe teachers are better at explaining how simple education is today.

That's not smart. That is a learning disability, dumbass!

I belonged in "gifted and talented" class. :)

I probably should get an apology at least. Before teaching a youngster, the teacher should explain what learning is and how to do it. Just because a kid is potty trained doesn't mean they also know how to learn. The fact that kids still fail to learn clear through 12th grade reveals a colossal failure on someone's part.

Of course, I was a better student than you. Your performance on this forum makes me wonder if you should get a refund from your school system.,
I wouldn't judge one's intelligence based on differences of opinion.

See! You are an antique. We had it when I was in school because that's where I was. The school wanted to promote me from 5th grade to 7th grade, but my Mom was scared I couldn't handle it. She only made it to 7th grade.

No retard, I'm saying that teachers are powerless to employ any kind of discipline, which means these monsters will never learn respect for authority since they don' get it at home either from the democrat voting parents, until shot dead by the police.

It would have been nice to see them spanked in school instead.

But it's not just about the kids retard. Adults should not have to undergo that kind of verbal abuse either.

This has been a public service notice to all half-wits here at USMB.
Discipline is taught at home, retard.
