The attack on Joe continues!

But only for crimes HE has been pardoned for. So far, the only crimes Hunter has been convicted of are tax evasions and a silly gun charge. Neither of which involved his dad. So I guess they can ask him about those all day. But once you get outside of those trying to fish for dirt on dad, he can say, "Whoops, fifth amendment."

Guy, you think that 49.9% is a mandate, the lowest margin a president has "Won" re-election by in history.

I'm pointing out that this was tried with the Iran-Contra figures, and nothing came of it.
No you are being retarded. You showed that what I claimed actually took place. Thank you for proving what I said. Now run out and play with your action figure

Hunter has been given a complete pardon for anything he might be charged for back to 2014.

Not just the serious firearms felony he committed and the money he robbed from the IRS.
That “serious firearm felony” is never prosecuted as such unless the gun involved was used in a violent crime. this wasn’t.

And “the money he robbed” was a failure to pay taxes… which usually is only subject to a fine

It's a two edged sword...while he certainly needed it there are some things here that could backfire.

Maybe we need to change the law if we aren't going to prosecute gun crimes until a violent offense is committed.

And tell it to Al Capone who got sent to Alcatraz for making a mistake on his tax returns.

Maybe we don’t selectively prosecute based on a name.

And Biden ain’t Al Capone

A "Silly" gun charge?! I love the moving goal posts!

That's right. Mr. Capone's father wasn't President, and Capone didn't have the connections with President Hoover that Hunter had with the current president.

I hope not....this four years is for the country not for him. It goes by all to quickly to waste time on vendetta. He has a very small window to begin moving the economy in the right direction ( not just for the investor class) or he's going to get mashed in the midterms.

Oh, he'll probably get mashed in the midterms regardless.

He got mashed in the midterms in 2018, and things weren't that bad.

I suspect there's a crash on the horizon, probably linked to Cryptocurrency.

I'm just trying to ride it out for 2 1/2 more years until I qualify for retirement.

Of course, it's a silly charge. Very few people are charged with it, even though there are thousands of violations a year. (Most of the violations are people who lied about a felony conviction and THEN went on to use the gun in a crime.)

If the gun charge is "silly" why doesn't the Brady Bunch and other gun control groups lobby to change the law so no one else gets these "silly" charges?

I agree. We should change the law.

Instead of asking an addict if he thinks he has a problem (most of them don't think they do) make the applicant piss in a cup just like every job seeker does.

Instead of politely asking someone if they're mentally ill, have them sign a HIPAA waiver form giving the ATF complete access to their medical records.

Instead of expecting felons to self-identify, do a thorough background check. Shit, Uber does a more thorough background check than the ATF.

Yeah ... Crypto is the pig in the Polk right now. It wouldn't have any future at all if the Fed wasn't such an insufferable prick with the interest rate manipulations.

But had it been Donald Jr. charged with the exact same crime, you'd seek the death penalty

Gun Rrrrrr Bad hmmmkay

He's actually worse, but you're too stupid to realize that.

Actually, he can plead the fifth, because the fifth is not an assumption of guilt.
Nope, once you’ve been granted immunity you have no chance of being incriminated so you can’t take the Fifth. That blanket pardon gave Hunter blanket immunity for every action he took in those eleven years. He has to either answer questions fully and honestly or go to jail where he will sit until he decides to talk. The question is, does he feel enough loyalty to his father and uncle to sit in a prison cell for possibly years rather than implicate them in whatever illegal actions his dad pardoned him for.

You can go on all day, guy.

But Congress can't make a man testify against his will.

Did you pay no attention to the Iran Contra Trial? Let me refresh your memory.

Poindexter and North were given immunity by Congress to testify in the hope they would implicate Reagan.

Instead, they took all the blame for the Contra part on themselves. (the only part that might have been illegal. The selling weapons to Iran part was stupid, but it wasn't criminal.) It didn't help their case that North came off as a likable guy.

So let's say they call Hunter and question him. Hunter can claim - as he claimed all along - that his father had no knowledge of his business dealings. And beyond that, he's not testifying.

Done. Finished.
Then they pull out the evidence that Biden was involved and Hunter has now committed multiple counts of perjury and goes to jail for a long time.

Read the pardon, it’s for all actions known and unknown in those eleven years. They can question him about everything he did in those eleven years and set perjury traps just like the FBI did for Trump associates
and supporters. One lie or mistaken statement and Hunter goes to jail for perjury.
