He can not incriminate himself since he has a pardon. What part of that is hard for you to understand?The whole picture is, "I refuse to testify on the grounds I might incriminate myself."

You can't compel a person to testify. It's in the constitution.
So that can not be used. Now if he does not answer questions he can be fined or jailed until he cooperates.
But it does not matter as nothing may be brought.
