  • The US unemployment rate today is 3.4%, the lowest peacetime unemployment rate since WWII, and the lowest since 1969. A majority of Americans alive today have never experienced an unemployment rate this low. The current Black unemployment rate, 4.7%, is the lowest ever recorded. The worker participation rate for prime age workers is now higher than before the pandemic.
  • In the last few months, America has experienced the lowest uninsured and lowest poverty rates in its history.
  • GDP growth is averaging over 3% in the Biden era, a very strong number. Our economic recovery from COVID is the strongest of all advanced economies. The Dow is up 24% since Election Day 2020, and is at the upper end of its performance over the past generation. Wage gains and new business formations are at historically elevated levels.
  • The current Atlanta Fed GDP Now forecast has GDP growth coming in at 2.9% this quarter. Job growth remains very strong - 253,000 last month. While things are slowing down, as we want them to be, we are not currently headed toward a recession.
  • Despite the enormous global disruption of COVID and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the American economy is remarkably strong, people are working, their wages and incomes are rising, and fewer are uninsured than ever.

And as long as Republicans are kept out of it, it will stay that way

Foreign shill posting swill for money.

Wage growth is stagnant and is a long way from making up for real inflation.
You're exposing the American way as just pablum for the faithful masses!
I would have bet that you would have been one of the last to say it, even though you would be one of the first to know it!

With the political confusion caused by Trump's efforts to hang on to popularity, the right and the left in America are trading ideologies.

Trump has started to sing the praises of socialism, while being completely opposed to everything that could hint at social change.

Kinda wordy but I think Trump will be forced to go after DeSantis from the left....DeSantis's executive record from the right is simply too strong.

I can't wait till one of the hopefuls (I hope it's DeSantis) throws "take the guns first and worry about due process later" right back in Trump's face......Remember, Trump never had to answer for that statement in the run-up to 2020.

Sure, Trump already has.

Funny but Trump could actually try taking the side against the 2A and make it work. The fact is that over 60% of the people want 'some' sort of gun control.

It's become a dangerous situation with Trump's attempts to represent the left's agenda.

Give the DeSantis thing a rest. His only chance of getting past Trump is if Trump's arrested soon enough.

DeSantis raked-in 8.2 million in the 24 hours after he announced....Twitter warts and all.

That and we have not seen a recent polling of likely gop/right-leaning Independent voters since then.

I suspect he will close on Trump quickly now that gop/right-leaning Independent voters have a official DeSantis candidacy to hang their hats upon.

Once he pulls within 10 points of Trump and maintains it's all over for Trump.

Right, so then you're saying that Trump's power is gone and he's helpless against DeSantis.
I'm going to stay with betting on Trump, at least against DeSantis. It can be our little wager, even though this forum is already showing a loss of enthusiasm for Trump.

I'm seeing DeSantis as being to fkdup to pull it off. And then the people aren't going to want just a cheap imitation of Trump.

I really don't want Trump at all, he might limp by Tater, he might not, but one thing is for damn sure, he will destroy the down ticket races.

We have a opportunity for that "red wave" in '24 that Trump and the rabid pro-life crowd fucked-up in '22.

I'd prefer to win this go-round thank you very much.

But my point is that you want to replace Trump with a mini-Trump. Won't that have the same effect on the down-ticket candidates too?

I think your Republican party has manipulated itself into a very uncomfortable position.

The reason why is because the rest of the party are still Trumpers.

Fwiw, I don't completely discount your ideas. There are too many variables for me to be feeling certain.

One thing though, it's going to be fkn great entertainment!
