Keep in mind that a lot of the deterioration is not visible to the naked eye. The creaky bones, lack of energy, mental fog.

When we are young, we don't know what we face until it comes; when you can't anymore eat anything you damned well please without gaining weight. When I was 20, and quite good-looking I might say, I didn't know what I would look like and be like in my 60e, and here I am. Some years ago I watched an old TV show from 10-15 years ago. There was an actor in his early 20s who, particularly with his stints with his shirt off, was breathtaking for a straight woman (or a gay man). Now, according to his posts on social media, it's gym every day and trying to swear off his love of donuts. He actually is a good actor, able to handle a wide range of parts, but age hits hard.

The more you complain, the longer God makes you live.
