Everything that came after the landmark SCOTUS ruling in Wong Kim Ark has been a misinterpretation of what SCOTUS actually determined -- that BECAUSE Ark's parents were "lawfully and permanently domiciled here [in the United States] that he was rightfully granted birthright citizenship.

IF the parents are in the U.S. with the permission of the government ("lawfully" --> subject to the jurisdiction thereof)
THEN the child is entitled to birthright citizenship
