Texas man punched an election worker who told him to remove Trump hat at voting site, police say

As usual, there's more to the story than the Leftists want people to know...

"According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, Lutzenberger initially complied with a request made by the 69-year-old early voting worker. The worker advised him that wearing political apparel to a voting location is illegal under Texas law, ABC News reports.

Once he had finished voting, Lutzenberger put his hat back on, but was allegedly lingering inside the voting building. The worker again let him know that it was "unacceptable" and tried to escort him from the building.

Once the pair were near the doors of the voting location, Lutzenberger allegedly threw "an arm back toward the victim," according to Salazar. The sheriff said the incident was captured on a surveillance video.

"The victim seemed to push off of the suspect. At that point, the suspect then turned and threw several punches right at the face of the victim." the sheriff said."

It looks as if the poll worker isn't exactly blameless. He probably thinks that he has some power to act how he wanted and made the situation worse with his chicken shit attitude.

‘A Texas man who wore a hat supporting former President Donald Trump punched an election worker who told him that wearing items endorsing a candidate are prohibited at voting sites, a sheriff said Friday.

The election worker, identified as a 69-year-old man, was treated at the scene Thursday and returned to his election post at a San Antonio library on Friday, officials said. The suspect was arrested on felony charges of assaulting an elderly person and could face additional charges, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said.

The alleged assault happened at the end of the first week of early voting in Texas, where long lines have stretched outside some polling places. Both the sheriff and county elections administrator urged voters to stay calm and patient during sometimes long waits to vote during what they described as a contentious election. “Thankfully there was nothing life-threatening about what occurred, but it was still an ugly incident,” Salazar said.

The suspect, identified as Jesse Lutzenberger, remained in jail Friday evening, according to Bexar County records. Jail records did not list an attorney and a phone number for Lutzenberger’s home could not immediately be found Friday.’

“You can’t blame Trump and his supporters for the actions of one individual.”

Sure you can.

This is what Trump has done to America with his rhetoric of violence, intolerance, and hate – where Trump, a fascist thug, has sought to legitimize political violence and intimidation among his supporters.
I smell a Smollett hoax here...

Ah, so instead of informing the man to remove the hat, or call the police, he tried to go hands on with the guy....Stupid move...

Laws prohibiting campaigning within a certain distance of a polling house were created long before Trump ran for office.

That seems more like it. Poll worker decided to show the guy who’s boss and got a bloody nose for his effort.
