Im Not going to allow the funding of an army against me. They have all the freedom they want, I’m just noting to pay for it.So you agree that both sides of the political spectrum aren't exactly harbingers of academic freedom.

And colleges who refuse to knuckle under to the Orange Faced Tyrant get their funding cut. So much educational freedom.
The Austin Progressive home grown Freaks & Wierdos & Wannabe Hippies have enabled Closet Social Liberal RINOs in the State House & LGBTQPN Marxists in Dallas & Uber Woke Dazzlin Urbanites like Crockett in HoustonAs a Texan, I agree. Unfortunately.
It started in the late 80's when ******* yankee communist corporations were being allowed to move from NY down here and set up shop.
Thats when the shit started hitting the fan, and when Texas started its decades slide into the cesspool of political degredation.
Back then, there were enough real Texans to fight off the stench and corruption of the yankee infestations. But over the decades, the newer generations of REAL Texans has become less, as the previous ones are too old to fight any longer. All this while these diseased yankee and West Coast pieces of shit slither into Texas and set up shop, with their corruption and disease, destroying everything they touch.
And our schools are no different. A&M did their best to fight off most of the WOKE brainwashing that went on, but it seems they are now failing at keeping the yankee disease at bay anymore.
Other than the Gulf surf fishing there is nothing of redeeming value there. No matter how liberal or conservative Texas is, it will still be a scorching hot-assed place I have no desire to live in.
At least most of their children know, there are only 2 genders.Always has been and always will be. Stupid open carry laws and education system dedicated to dumbing down their chilren.
Houston and Austin have been cancers on the face of Texas for decades now.The Austin Progressive home grown Freaks & Wierdos & Wannabe Hippies have enabled Closet Social Liberal RINOs in the State House & LGBTQPN Marxists in Dallas & Uber Woke Dazzlin Urbanites like Crockett in Houston
Dallas is the most Gay Friendly City east of West HollywoodHouston and Austin have been cancers on the face of Texas for decades now.
They need to be eradicated.
You make the place sound better and better with every sentence.![]()
Opinion | Texas A&M told me not to teach these Plato excerpts. Here's what he wrote.
Martin Peterson: The Greek philosopher explicitly urged his students to seek the truth — even when it was uncomfortable or controversial. Universities should do the same.www.ms.now
In previous posts I have pointed out how extremely ignorant are the leaders of Texas. However, it did not dawn on me that one of its institutions of higher learning would not want to engage in higher learning but would rather further far, far right wing ideology as is practiced by today's so called "conservative" Republicans.
Texas is not a state engaged in academic freedom and freedom of thought. Those rights exist in Texas only if they meet the current requirements of far, far right ideology! And it's a disservice to their young people!
Bigly!!!
Based on the thread title, I’m assuming the OP just moved to Texas.
All the big cities and universities are run by radical leftwing lunatics in Texas.
Dallas is the most Gay Friendly City east of West Hollywood
It's the same in several states. Take away the major cities in Minnesota and Illinois and they would be blue. Large metropolitan areas tend to attract those that want to "live off the system."This is a very good point. People see Texas as a red state, but truthfully, all of the major cities are solidly blue. The only reason it’s red is because of the rural residents.
LOL. Thanks for the laugh. Everyone is leaving California and going to Texas. That just eats at your soul, doesn't it?![]()

No matter what else, this is a fact.No matter how liberal or conservative Texas is, it will still be a scorching hot-assed place I have no desire to live in.
You are just jealous of our oil refineries.Houston and Austin have been cancers on the face of Texas for decades now.

It was a philosophy class. Plato was one of the great philosophers.Yes Plato was a pedo and engaged in “boy love” a lot of those ancient Greeks did
We shoudnt be teaching students that was ok.
And I don’t believe he was told he couldn’t teach any PlatoIt was a philosophy class. Plato was one of the great philosophers.
He was told he could not for that portion of the course. BUT you are correct in that he could have just omitted that portion. And I don’t believe he was told he couldn’t teach any Plato
Texas has major issues with Closet Social Liberals LARPING as Republicans in their State House .And I don’t believe he was told he couldn’t teach any Plato
