Texas goes Permitless Carry

Not sure how the law reads specifically in TX, but… In many states if someone dies in the commission of a crime, the perpetrator is on the hook for the death. If that proves to be the case here; and the man legally, and justifiably drew, and fired his weapon… The death would be laid at the feet of the guy who committed the crime requiring the use of force. Not the shooter.

Other than killing the little girl, what effect did the shooter being armed have on the situation? Did he prevent a crime? Did he stop a criminal? The little girl in the OP link is dead. You don't see that as an example of bloodshed?

He would have been armed with or without a permit.

Permits don't stop- nor provoke- violence.

It's permitless carry, dude. Any dipshit can carry a sidearm (perhaps a rifle) and they don't need any training. I get what you're saying, the problem is the percentage who don't know how to properly, and safely, carry and use a firearm.

No. Open carry doesn't mean you can break federal laws. That means felons, drug-users, illegals, or those adjudicated to be mentally-ill can not posses a firearm, whether it's open, concealed, or even in their own home or vehicle. The same thing goes for ammunition.

The percentage of those who know how to properly, and safely, carry and use a firearm and have concealed carry permits is extremely high. That requires training, qualifying, and a criminal background check. The requirements are not as stringent for open carry but I guarantee you that if you get caught possessing drugs, committing a criminal act, or being ineligible to posses a firearm while carrying open, you will go to jail. That applies to any state that has Constitutional carry.

I've had a valid Wisconsin concealed carry permit for 12 years now, and carry every day. Trust me on this.

In the case of Mr. Earls, the man accused of fatally shooting 9-year-old Arlene Alvarez while shooting at a fleeing robber,
This is part of the problem, shooting at a fleeing suspect – which should never be done.

Citizens carry guns for lawful self-defense against an imminent threat; absent that threat, there’s no justification to shoot at anyone.

Not sure why shooting a fleeing suspect would increase the chances of a bystander getting hit.
As far as shooting a fleeing suspect goes that would depend on what they've done.

well this one fell flat pretty quick,,

did you know this guy didnt have a permit and even though there are laws against shooting people for no reason this guy did it anyway??

guess the criminals forgot to follow the laws already on the books,,

He isn’t a Criminal. He wasn’t even charged. He was and is a law abiding man. Next fail please.

Yes, civil rights are still important in many places (just not the ones run by people like you).
