We have to do better than this

Hayden Hunstable, of Aledo, took his own life three days before his 13th birthday in April 2020 because he didn’t know how to deal with the isolation and depression when the emerging disease caused a nationwide shutdown, the UK’s Metro reported.

The boy’s 9-year-old sister, Kinlee, found him hanged in his bedroom, according to the outlet.

This is happening all over the nation due to this draconian lockdown
Thousands of kids have committed suicide and many adults are drug out of their minds

Sad story, people not staying in contact with what is on their kids minds and their state of mind. They let the kid down. Very sad. New York post had to go back 10 months to get around to posting it. Guess it wasn't important to the New York Post at the time.

Suicide among adolescents is an extremely complicated issue that has been studied for decades. Treating this tragedy in such a simplified way by blaming it on Covid is disrespectful and dishonest.

And when you get run down and killed by a motorcyclist who tests positive for the virus you'll be just as "honestly" and "respectfully" classed as a Covid Victim.

In your perfect world.

Very true. Blaming this child's death on Covid is indicative of ones lack of critical thinking skills. A contributing factor, perhaps, but not the root cause. It's sad to hear stories like this.

Many thanks to the orange clown for making wearing a mask etc a political decision. Absolute idiocy and he has followers in other countries on this too -conservatives as usual are ignoramuses. 80% of the deaths here at least are due to his incompetence and ignorance. I think he believed Fox news Alex Jones etc. That's probably what he did while he was making the apprentice. He's an ignoramus too you know. The tax returns we got proved a year ago he was the worst businessman in America from 1984 to '94. You miss 90% of the news over on your propaganda machines and get nothing but phony scandals ridiculous conspiracies and misinformation.

Somehow some way blame Trump

Pathetic

It’s complicated at any age, however after a decrease in suicides from 2018 and 2019, health professionals predict there will be an increase for not only suicides but other mental issues caused by the Covid-19 in 2020. The worst thing for depression is isolation, Covid-19 has spawned a drastic changes in our live. The fear that has stirred up, the masks, social distancing, these are major changes in our lives. This is added stress, stress can manifest itself in many ways. His parents seemed to believe that Covid-19 play a significant role in their sons suicide.

Not to mention the financial ruin.

Trumptards will blame every suicide on COVID. As you and whitehall say, this is intellectually dishonest.
You’re truly a sick and demented creature

I think people are being selective over what tragedies they feel outraged over. My heart goes out to this boy and his family, but what about the other half of a million people that have died from Covid in this country?
