Militant group's ricin plot thwarted by federal investigation

I don't have statistics on it. But I feel like over the past decade or so violent extremism among the American populace has been on the rise. This is just another recent example. How long does it have to go on before we realize that polarizing our politics is not going to be good for the country?

I disagree, I think that there has always been a lot of crazies in this country. I don't have statistics either, granted the Oklahoma City bombing may prove otherwise but others have attempted and been unsuccessful, and I also feel people have a lot more accessibility to create or find the weapons now which also make it appear as a growing threat. In all honesty, though I really don't know.
