So we are supposed to be speeding into the future while being bedazzled with all the new jingles and jangles of technology.

Ok, so why is technology failing miserably in the consumerism sector, and this regarding the ordering of on line products along with it's method of shipping and receiving of said products ????

Brick and mortar/Mom & Pop store's were the greatest sources of consumer goods forever.. Their quality assessments, the much desired warranties, any returns, and the service techs on hand to guide the customer in knowledge and in confidence (pertaining to the products being purchased), were steeped in American excellence and satisfaction.

The American consumer is becoming one of the most disrespected human beings on planet earth when it comes to satisfaction, quality of product, longevity of products, tech support, and on and on it goes.

Does anyone wonder why American business's have hired Idian call center's to handle tech support, returns, and other information pertaining to the business or products and services at hand ??? One of the biggest problems is understanding these people who are so accent heavy as opposed to our language, that it should be absolutely illegal for American businesses to be outsourcing this type of service in regards to their customer's who deserve better than that here in America.

It's truly a shame what's been allowed to go on without the American voter's/consumer's input or consent.

People wonder why we have so much fraud in this country now.

Well open your eye's America, and say loudly "NO MORE" !!!

It is damn terrible. I start my morning checking my email, like well over a hundred a day, almost all shit but I have to weed through it to get to the important ones. The damn phone, AI--twenty, thirty calls a day. Nothing stops them, although I have been successful in closing a few call centers down that were using a VOIP provider. I just contacted the provider and threatened legal action. But they just move on to hide under another rock.

This country is suffering a loneliness crisis. And no wonder, I remember when neighbors conversed on the front porch. Took walks within the community, went to social functions. Now, they tap away on Facebook. Looking for a potential mate, well damn, how many dating apps does a country need? And do they provide any results? Not from all indications, the pursuit of perfection the enemy of the good.

But for me, well I had a damn enough. First of the year, I walked from my job. Spent the last three months returning to that Medicare market, something I haven't done in almost 20 years. But the market is so dysfunctional, so filled with unscrupulous operators, that someone has to fight it. The reality is, people are getting hurt. An example.

So I get one of those phone calls. And I know, I shouldn't feed the beast but you toy with these guys long enough you really get the truth to come out. First, the call itself is a violation of CMS guidelines. You have to have permission to contact. You cannot cold call. Then, after clearing the AI gatekeeper, I get the "agent". He tells me is is calling from Medicare. Second violation. Then he starts pitching these ancillary benefits like a grocery shopping card, Medicare Part B premium "givebacks". You can't pitch those ancillary benefits, third violation.

My favorite tactic, they ask me my zip code. I give them one, one that covers four counties. Medicare Advantage plans are based on counties, not zip codes. Having done this countless times, not once did anyone ask me what county I lived in. That throws up an immediate red flag. But I continue to play along for a little longer. Then, I drop the hammer.

And what really gets me. These guys blow up once I bust them. I mean what the hell, I am lucky if the call lasts more than five minutes. Oh they cuss, they say terrible things about my sexual identity, insult my mother, I mean flipping damn middle school. And what are they upset about, I wasted their time. The hell you say? You think calling me, cold, with no permission, is not a waste of my time? Damn, this dude is chained to a desk in Cambodia and he is bitching at me about wasting his time? Bugging me is a waste of my damn time.

And in the end, that is just it. Time. All this social media bullshit, all this message board stuff even, it is a waste of time. Hundreds of emails, dozens of phone calls, and then, there is the screen time. It is a cancer that is eating at our very souls and we can't see it.
