Lets say someone invents a tool or robot that replaces 80% of the jobs on earth. Actually, this happened when we invented farm equipment. People simply found new industries to work in that were supported by the increased profits from farming.
Liberals are hysterical about tools and robots because they don't have the ability to understand basic economics.

Generally it's the right, the Conservatives, that oppose change.

However the unions will oppose change because it often means their membership takes a massive hit and they lose power.

So, people are afraid of this change.

The one problem with change is that people have to up their skills. Seeing how the US seems to prepare half the country for low or no skilled work, this is going to be a problem.
