To put a finer point on this:
If we could make this deal: "Okay, we as a society will discipline our kids again and hold them to standards, if you will stop 'indoctrinating' them."
Teachers would weep for joy.
Teachers would sign up for that in droves.
THAT would be your litmus test right there, honestly. For me this is a non-starter, as I'm not 'indoctrinating' in the first place. Any teacher who doesn't sign up for this: gone.
But I promise you, 95% of teachers would be all in.
Standard response from millennial parents when behavior is bad: "Did you XYX? You know little Johnny is XYZ. What did you do to provoke him?"
