The solutions seem so easy but in reality the solutions are just not there. Basically, parents are also DEI'd. In school however it's called SEL: social-emotional learning. Everything is "feelings" based; kids are accountable for nothing if they have hurt feelings.

To put a finer point on this:

If we could make this deal: "Okay, we as a society will discipline our kids again and hold them to standards, if you will stop 'indoctrinating' them."

Teachers would weep for joy.

Teachers would sign up for that in droves.

THAT would be your litmus test right there, honestly. For me this is a non-starter, as I'm not 'indoctrinating' in the first place. Any teacher who doesn't sign up for this: gone.

But I promise you, 95% of teachers would be all in.

Standard response from millennial parents when behavior is bad: "Did you XYX? You know little Johnny is XYZ. What did you do to provoke him?"

Teachers if they were smart enough to teach your children... would understand that under Trump's plan they could finally be paid what they deserve.... I can see a huge pay hike when the 30 or so different department of education offices in DC are abolished...

I am MAJOR in favor of abolishing the Dept. of Education. I only wish it could have happened sooner. I would have been able to save a fortune in private school education for my children if I didn’t have to worry about left-wing indoctrination. The advantage for me going forward would be a much more conservative and realistic electorate. Let all the lefties move to the NE and the West Coast and stay there.
