I know it won't be popular but what else was she supposed to do?

Those in charge of our kids should know life saving first aid as a condition of employment. You can't always wait for the school nurse.

Sure you can heap laurels upon her for her action and I'm fine with it but maybe you should also call your kid's school and ask if all the teachers (and teacher aids) are trained in basic first aid......If not then stand on them to get them the training.

Hell, every prison guard/cop in Virginia is trained so you would think that school teachers would be too.

How the hell did that kid have such a problem getting the cap off a bottle of water?
And how did he have the breath to run around the classroom?
I call bullshit!
I've seen people choking and they never had the breath to run a damn marathon like that kid.
They stay in one place and put their hands on their neck and start turning colors.
That kid was still white as casper and showed no sign of choking at all.
