It's smart business.

If they are making big profits, then guess what, that means there are a lot of customers with capital to spend. As for the critique, do you not agree the large majority % of federal, state and local taxes are from the rich? If you are not in the top 50% of wealth earners, then you pay $0 for the maintenance of US highways, national parks, etc. And your net $$ paid is lower than what the rich pay.
