Markets poised to recover as Trump official suggests tariffs to be eased today

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the Trump administration might exempt certain industries from the sweeping tariffs it imposed Tuesday.

It's as old as anything in human communication - Baiting and Switching. We've all seen it before. We've all at one point in our lives or another, have fallen for it. In this case it was announce loudly a huge tariff thing. Take credit publicly for being tough, and then on the side signaling to those tasked with carrying things out -- "The Boss says we're scaling it all back"

Lutnick said tariffs will probably cover “not 100 percent of all products and not none,” without offering details on which categories could get exemptions, adding, “it could well be autos, it could be others as well.”
On Tuesday, the Trump administration imposed 25 percent tariffs on everything Americans buy from Mexico from Canada. Imports from China are getting an additional 10 percent duty, bringing the overall tariff to 45 percent. All three countries responded with retaliatory measures of their own.

“They’ll be a little disturbance” he said of his steep tariffs, the closest he came to acknowledging the reaction to his moves.

you are yet again, a bit more than confused.

Trump's bait and switch routine is amusing in that it makes people like you look as pathetic as you really are

and as far as the tariffs themselves are concerned?

Trump Celebrates His Disruption but Slides Over Its Costs

The president’s speech to Congress covered tariffs, Ukraine and cuts to the federal work force but did little to address the perils that accompany the abrupt shifts he has engineered.

While Mr. Trump resurrected familiar arguments from his campaign rallies to justify his actions — citing waste and fraud in the federal bureaucracy, the dangers posed by migrants entering the country illegally, the unfairness of the global trading system and the need to bring a bloody war to an end — something was missing.
He never made the case for why the potential benefits of the disruption he has triggered — “nothing but swift and unrelenting action,” he called it, quite accurately — was worth the very real costs at home and abroad. He never addressed the fears of investors who have been hitting the “sell” button amid an escalating trade war, or of allies reaching for their panic buttons as Washington aligns itself with Moscow. He never talked about why he was inflicting more economic pain on his allies than his adversaries.

You talk out both sides of your mouth

You hate the tariffs and always have

Now when it looks like there will be less tariffs than you first thought you are no less outraged

Except now you are smirking at trump voters instead of throwing bombs at trump

Which makes yours a regular clown show
