Arresting employers for hiring illegals is a double edged sword. I like the original approach of focusing on those with criminal records. Here in the Southwest you would be arresting half of the construction company owners. Is it their fault they can't find Americans who will do hard work? They have typically been in business for as long as I've been in Arizona which is 45 years. What has happened over the last 20 years or so is a big drop off in Americans willing to work these jobs. That is reality, and if you know anyone in the construction business they will tell you that. And construction companies are just one example. I think Trump should stick to his campaign promise of focusing on capture and deportation of illegals with criminal records and work the rest on a case by case basis and expand the Work Visa program for illegals who are productive workers with clean criminal records. If you take the hard line and start arresting employers then you start shutting BUSINESSES DOWN and hurt the Americans working for them.

I’m in the construction business, have been for decades. We are headquartered in South Mexifornia, all of our competitors hire illegals, we don’t and we won’t. I fire subs all the time for having guys onsite who can’t speak English. I don’t play that shit, never have. Many of my competitors have had to hire illegals to stay in business and or to stay competitive, that’s bullshit. That whole “Americans won’t work the jobs” bullshit is nothing but bullshit. The truth is; Americans won’t work the jobs without legit pay and conditions…that’s all.
This is evidenced by the fact that there are still construction trades with nothing but white boys…Linemen, electricians, plumbers, HVAC pros…WHY? Because those trades still pay a middle-class wage, require an iQ and haven’t been infiltrated by Mexico to **** wages up.
Here’s what happened…The explosion of population at the bottom (illegals) in the early 90’s created a need for trades and professions to service them all across the employment spectrum. Think of all the tradesmen, the educators, healthcare professionals needed to service illegals, all the extra infrastructure to be built and for engineers to handle etc etc.
Mexico is literally running a basically black market economy within ours.
The real answer is to reduce the population by sending 50 million non-contributing trespassers and all the foreigners servicing them home for good. Remember, we have four Ohios worth of illegals here…how many tradesmen, educators, healthcare professionals, engineers and the like are needed to service one Ohio / 12 million people?
