Thousands of Syria´s most experienced soldiers are gathering to march towards Raqqa.

"Today, the Syrian Armed Forces, backed by the paramilitary ‘Desert Hawks’, launched a prolonged, full-scale offensive to oust ISIS from its de-facto capital of al-Raqqa.
Thousands of the Syrian Army’s most experienced troops amassed at the town of Ithriya (in southern Aleppo) this morning. Photographs of the soldiers gathering at this town near the border of the Raqqa province reveal the scale of the operation; with soldiers, shown alongside armoured vehicles and heavy equipment, marching on towards the ISIS bastion.
On the 25th of May, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed by US air-strikes, began a military operation to recapture large swathes of territory from ISIS in northern Raqqa. This offensive has since expanded, as the SDF crossed the Euphrates River in a bid to defeat the terrorist group in its heartland town of Manbij, nearly 70 km north-east of Aleppo.
The fanatical group also finds itself in trouble in neighbouring Iraq, where it is on the verge of losing its stronghold of Fallujah as the Iraqi army and Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) are tightening their grip on the city, amid increasing fears that thousands of civilians have been taken hostage by ISIS there."

Breaking: SAA begins military operation to recapture ISIS-held Raqqa + [Photos] | Al-Masdar News

While Syrian forces advance towards Raqqa, the Nusra-led Jaish al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) launched attacks in southern Aleppo.

The Syrian army advanced 45 km towards Raqqa since begin of the operation. Many units support the army in Raqqa, including Russian special forces. Meanwhile, the Russian airforce takes care of the attacking Nusra-zombies in southern Aleppo. Those zombies gang up with other groups to avoid air strikes on them while they probably try to take advantage of the Syrian army´s concentration of forces in Raqqa. Russia has now declared to put an end to this and will bomb any group in Nusra held territory. Furthermore, many foreign militiamen help to protect the supply route to Aleppo and the city itself.

An ISIS counter offensive has been repelled by the Syrian forces. It is the second counter offensive of ISIS there. 100 ISIS terrorists reportedly died since begin of the operation.

Meanwhile, the SDF are shifting their attention from Raqqa to Manbij in eastern Aleppo in order to complicate ISIS supply delivery and maybe capturing the entire border region north of Aleppo. But according to reports the USA promised Erdogan that they will make the Kurds disappear after the liberation from ISIS.

+50 Islamic State fighters killed across Raqqa, Manbij frontlines today

"Over the past 24 hours, some 30 ISIS fighters have been killed in western Raqqa and an additional 26 ISIS militants near Manbij, according to the website SouthFront.

ISIS not only faces an imminent defeat in the Aleppo governorate but also expulsion from the Turkish-Syrian border, the Islamic State’s last land connection to the outside world."

Opinion:

"Now that the Syrian Arab Army, SyAAF and RuAF are extensively hitting targets in al-Raqqah; lets see if Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) will somehow magically place another terrorist-treating field hospital there, then blame the Syrian Armed Forces and its allies of hitting it.

Make no mistake people, there is absolutely nothing worse than a terrorist organization but a bias humanitarian one.

Furthermore, and to more battle related news, the operation toward liberating al-Tabaqah airbase is in progress; there was a delay today for tactical reasons and variables on the ground; however, there is nothing but good news coming from the battlefield.

Also, the Syrian Arab Armed Forces, with the Syrian Arab Army's 11th Armored Division being the spearhead in the operation are advancing to ward al-Sekhneh, the strongest and last ISIS location before an open road with minimal to no resistance toward Dair al-Zoor airbase.

Finally, and the front almost everybody is asking about or waiting to hear from, Aleppo, specifically Southern countryside, we can only say have faith, if the terrorists there knew what's coming they would have abandoned their possessions long time ago; unfortunately we cannot disclose more."

The majority of the Syrian army are Sunnis. It is the other way round, you don´t need to repeat your lies, it is already known what is really happening.
