Tourism is an interesting subject. For all we know they spent 40x more on tourism advertising in an effort to increase this number, and maybe it worked.

Perhaps more Europeans visited because they can't afford to travel to America.

My experience doesn't preclude any data on the subject, it is simply my experience. If you've heard people talk about tourism to Switzerland, maybe you are part of a higher caste than I am.

My point is simple, "blaming Trump for any gain is tourism is a very weak association at best".

In fact, to 2021, here is a graph of the annual tourism income for Switzerland. Notice the vast discrepancies year to year.
