Supreme Court smacks Trump down on foreign aid.

There is a huge difference.

Lots of those laws that cover what Trump is fighting say "spend X on Y" but don't give details on paying A,B,C to achieve Y.

No one disputes the SS laws say make payments to people ENTITLED to them as qualifying for retirement benefits.
What part of the take care clause do you not understand? The social security bill does not list paying person 1 2 or 3. It sets the criteria the executive branch executes.

Wrong.

What they said is the District judge has to be specific on what the admin needs to pay out on and give the admin time to do it.

TRO's only affect things that if not performed OR performed have an irreparable harm on the parties impacted.

So the people suing have to go to the judge now, say they are being harmed, the admin can counter, and the judge has to direct on specific instances now.

So get ready for "Biden judge orders admin to pay for Guatemalan transgender clinic funding."
You didn’t say anything different. The funds must be paid.

You didn’t say anything different. The funds must be paid.

At this point only if the district judge directs the admin to do so on specific items, and only if the judge thinks there would be irreparable harm to the party not paid while the actual case goes through the motions.

Which the admin can then appeal again if they choose to.

The Order doesn't say the funds must be paid based on any of the merits of the case, just that the District court's TRO can proceed but ONLY if the judge gives specifics on who has to be paid due to the TRO, not the merits.

Actually it said the court has to be specific on what has to be spent, and then Trump can fight that as well.
If Trump wants to end such aid, he needs to submit legislation to Congress to end it.

This is further proof that Trump is a fascist thug, wannabe autocrat, and unfit to be president.

It actually tells the admin or the SSA to pay benefits to those who paid in and meet the retirement requirements.

Nothing Trump is doing is impacting SS payments. Nothing. You are just using a pathetic scare tactic.

Nope.

He can do what he's doing while the court case plays out, and now the District Judge has to tell the admin specifically what payments fall under the TRO.

My bet is the judge will back down as I doubt he has the inclination to do what SCOTUS demands of him.

I suspect the dems don't really want any part of the shitstorm if he tries justifying the spending either.

He must have thought he could get away with a "don't" like Biden thought he could.

No, but your interpretation is that he could stop all SS payments and has that power. He could stop paying military salaries, that is in the appropriation budget. He could stop paying the salaries of senators and congressmen.

Two things will happen. The judge will follow through and give lines and times, and the admin will fight or point out the ones being told to pay.

Or he will just issue a blanket "pay them again" and start a fight with the SC.

Not at all. He is trying to slow down discretionary funding to NGO's and other such organizations.

All supposition to deflect from what he is actually doing, going after your beloved Dem's gravy train.

You are deflecting from the real argument because you are too stupid to make the real argument.

The second time the court has refused to step in to help Trump.

Congress passed it, it was signed, Trump can't just pretend he can end it.

However, the court did not immediately say when the money must be released, allowing the White House to continue to dispute the issue in lower courts.

Did you not read your own link? Seems like a win for now for Trump and the American people.

15th post
Congress approved the funds. The President cannot trample over the Constitution on a whim.

No Trumpers, Trump is not a dictator.
That means that Trump doesn't get the blame for the wasted money. That's in Congress and mostly on the Democrats.

False thread continues on and fact rebuttal gets kicked

No, the Supreme Court did not rule that BUT they left it up to the lower court that ruled in 36 hours. So they rule "two weeks", or something similar. It is going to be released.

Once again, that Congress has authorized some given bit of spending isn’t the same as requiring that it be spent.

Indeed, oft times, spending isn’t conditioned. And sometimes it has explicitly (but previously) been prohibited from under specific conditions or determinations by the Executive branch.

No, you silly Democratics. Trump is not at all behaving like a dictator. And Congress doesn’t have dictatorial powers, either.
