Supreme Court smacks Trump down on foreign aid.

SCOTUS by a 5-4 count has ordered USAID funds be dispersed until the settlement of all suits.
I’m happy to see that two of the conservative side agree with following the rule of law.

You cannot articulate why they ruled that way.

It is one thing to say that the Present dent cannot refuse to pay contractors for already completed services. That much I agree with, in fact.

It’s another thing to contend that the President has an obligation to further spend allocated funds for matters not yet performed.

Thankfully, the matter is still under litigation and the final result isn’t written in stone.

Yep, and if those people happen to be dem surrogates it will come out and the American people will see where their money is being forced by a Biden judge to be paid out too.

The judge is simply supporting long standing laws.

This is just another example of where the dems should have been careful what they wished for.

And who knows, if the payment are found to be going to bogus .orgs the DOJ may get involved and follow the money trail right back to the DNC or people like Stacy Abrams..

The money originated in the Republican controlled House.

Thing is any payments forced to be paid-out will be put under a microscope and if there is something in there for the likes of The Turtle then I hope he suffers for it too.

Sunlight may be a good disinfectant, but fire works better.

You asked for it.....Enjoy the heat.

He had nothing to do with the House.

Expose it. I'm fine with that.

But this exposes how you have been trained to think. I understand our laws and our government and how it works.

That in no way means I support the money.

Just wait till it's found out the recipients didn't complete a contract other than passing out checks on down the line.

The date the Biden judge used for the cut-off for payments was a month after Trump halted them.

These aren't just for work done, it's for 100s of millions in grant payments to leftist NGOs around the world.

I think that they won't be getting paid if the judge is now required to show harm.

I guess Trump lawyers weren't as smart as those of the organizations that wanted payment for work they performed
What work was performed? I am under the impression that some/all of these funds were for work to be performed under contracts approved by the previous administration. In that case, the underlying issue may be whether the new administration can cancel these contracts. In order to justify an injunction, the canceled contractors need to show irreparable harm if this issued is allowed to be litigated.

Wrong.

What they said is the District judge has to be specific on what the admin needs to pay out on and give the admin time to do it.

TRO's only affect things that if not performed OR performed have an irreparable harm on the parties impacted.

So the people suing have to go to the judge now, say they are being harmed, the admin can counter, and the judge has to direct on specific instances now.

So get ready for "Biden judge orders admin to pay for Guatemalan transgender clinic funding."
