Why should the Dems allow a vote ?
why do you think you have a say in it

They can still filibuster .

What makes you think Trump is going to be all GOP ? He's a Rino . There are guys in his list who are center . Which will probably get Dem support .

Thank God Dirty Harry Reid set the Nuclear Option precedent on appointment of Federal Judges. Remember when you defended that?

As Obama's spiritual leader would say...your chickens have come home to roost.

Hmm. Then why didn't they use that for Obamas last guy ?

Because the Dems didn't control the Senate after the 2014 elections.

Since UNeducated white guys voted for Trump.....the above moron needs a bit of education.....\

The so-called "nuclear optron" EXCLUDED the approval/consent on SCOTUS justices.

Why should the Dems allow a vote ?

How can Dems prevent a vote?

With the help of trump hating GOP ! There's a bunch of them .

Name one

ted Cruz ! Lol!

Well he DOES hate him .

Ted Cruz is going to join democrats to block nominations? Unlikely

"After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump."

Because there was no SCOTUS Justice to approve. The Genie is out of the bottle. The Nuclear Option is not limited. The Republicans can use it in any way they see fit. You can make the argument that it SHOULDN'T be used, but I expect the same result as when we used that argument before YOU used the Nuclear Option...deaf ears.

Just so you completely understand. Here it is.

The nuclear or constitutional option is a parliamentary procedure that allows the U.S. Senate to override a rule or precedent by majority vote. The presiding officer of the United States Senate rules that the validity of a Senate rule or precedent is a constitutional question. They immediately put the issue to the full Senate, which decides by majority vote. The procedure thus allows the Senate to decide ANY issue by majority vote, even though the rules of the Senate specify that ending a filibuster requires the consent of 60 senators (out of 100) for legislation, 67 for amending a Senate rule. The name is an analogy to nuclear weapons being the most extreme option in warfare.

The “nuclear option” does not apply to Supreme Court nominees.

The ONLY way that the GOP senate can apply the nuclear option to nominating SCOTUS justices, is if the choose by a simple majority to radically CHANGE the rules.......Careful on that.

You'll need 67 senators to change the rules.......and right now the GOP has...what? 52?

It only takes a single vote to change that, now that we saw how Reid did it......
The Senate could do that during their first session.

Like Reid did.

Listen Hillary, I get that honesty is as foreign to you as breathing water, but let's at least try for five minutes to have a fact based argument.

It takes a simple majority to employ the nuclear option. Nothing more that 51 votes. Period.

You're wrong.
