I wonder if he is coherent enough to be an authoritarian anymore? We will see. I feel like he might be a confused useful idiot at this point, but who knows. He was saying some pretty crazy shit near the end of his victory march.

I don't think he's even ideological. He's just painfully needy, and will do or say anthing for approval and validation, taking the path of least resistance. The problem is, he has people around him (like Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon) who ARE authoritarians, white nationalists who have a specific plan.

Trump is the ignorant figurehead parading around in hair spray and makeup, and his enablers will be pushing the buttons.
