Yes, this is another one of those "US is not prepared for a real war" threads. How many more of these do we need before the Biden-supporters acknowledge what a horrible job he and his administration are doing to protect this country?

"A new study released this week by the D.C.-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has concluded that America's defense industry is "not adequately prepared" for "a protracted conventional war" with an enemy with a large military like China.

The findings were the result of a war games simulation which also relied heavily on observations and statistics being gained from the Ukraine-Russia war, and Washington's ongoing military support role to Kiev.

Information from the Ukraine war led CSIS to find that the US would rapidly deplete its munitions, particularly long-range, precision-guided ones - in merely less than a week of a hot war with China in the Taiwan Strait.

“The main problem is that the U.S. defense industrial base — including the munitions industrial base — is not currently equipped to support a protracted conventional war," the study emphasized.

"The bottom line is the defense industrial base, in my judgment, is not prepared for the security environment that now exists," CSIS’s Seth Jones concluded in a statement to The Wall Street Journal.

As the study's main author, Jones posed the question: "How do you effectively deter if you don’t have sufficient stockpiles of the kinds of munitions you’re going to need for a China-Taiwan Strait kind of scenario?" According to more from the study:

"As the war in Ukraine illustrates, a war between major powers is likely to be a protracted, industrial-style conflict that needs a robust defense industry able to produce enough munitions and other weapons systems for a protracted war if deterrence fails..."
"Given the lead time for industrial production, it would likely be too late for the defense industry to ramp up production if a war were to occur without major changes."

China keeps thier military in tiptop condition. Well trained, well seasoned, and well equipped.
Plus, they give them all the things they need to do their job.

The US took away all of that from the US military starting in the 70's, and just like public schools........they've all turned to squalid, banshee screaming, sex change propagandizing, purple and green haired, psychotically deranged and diseased leftoid lunatics.

Trump said he rebuilt the military.

Another lie.

It is the message I have been repeatedly making, albeit aimed more directly at the Ukey Land conflict .

But given that the Shadow government is in control of "News" -- as it is whenever it chooses --- then the reality might be that the US has been stockpiling for some time secretly ?

I still think that they lag in terms of aircraft technology and naval strength but suppose they believe their DEW capability far exceeds Russia and China , for example ? And that the nut jobs have a Pentagon majority ?
That only spells alarm .

And regardless , perhaps they continue to see "never ending" conflict as the best way of keeping key production areas afloat when the recession bites hard in a short time .

And finally that they can achieve all of this from black financial sources flowing from CIA organised trading in drugs and people .

To think that some believe Russia and China are dirtier powers !!

How much has our stockpile of long range munitions dropped since Jan 2021?

The military has been given blank checks since the Cold War days. We don`t need 30 bases surrounding and threatening Iran.

So why has it lost every time?

Must easily hold the world record for most consecutive losses including running away

Sadly, we've lost every war since the Korean War. We seem to have lost our propensity for being brutal, somewhere along the way. We've forgotten that the only way to win wars is to hurt your enemy so badly, that he doesn't want to fight anymore. That takes killing the enemy, their wives, their children, their parents, aunt's uncles, grandparents, and their livestock. Then plowing everything under.

China is incapable of a protracted war outside of their borders
They can’t even invade Taiwan

Any war game of us invading China is pure fantasy.

$850 billion a year for our military is more than sufficient

You seem to underestimate an enemy who could easily make you surrender by cutting off your medical supplies and most of the over the counter pharmaceuticals you use on a daily basis.

And our stockpiles of conventional munitions will do nothing to help that
