Judging from the number of pro-vaccers; I’d say that estimate is far too low to be accurate…

That seems rather low. Canada probably has the same number and we are a 10th your population and economy.

It will get way worse in Canada as our governments are desperately broke and thus require the fools and their money to part in a gambling establishment, at lotto ticket booths and the like.

In MN, you can't buy a gun, cigarettes or alcohol until 21, but you can gamble your paycheck away at the age of 18 at the tribal casinos or in the state lottery.
What message does that send?

Years ago before casinos were allowed in the land of the free, a casino opened in Windsor Canada just across the Detroit River from Detroit. Within a few months bankruptcy filings skyrocketed across the Detroit area.

Yeah I know it's a thing but you have to be some kind of a weak-assed POS to have a gambling addiction.

That and every state scams it's citizens, lying about where the money will go.

Where Does the Money Go?

Experts on gambling and state funding say that Maryland is only one of dozens of states taking gambling revenue meant for education and using it for other purposes.

“In almost every case states either earmark the funds for education but then decrease the general fund appropriations for education by a similar amount, or, in more cases, they simply put the money in the general fund,” says Denise Runge, a dean at the University of Alaska Anchorage and editor of Resorting to Casinos: The Mississippi Gambling Industry.

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

Since that article was written the dems here in Virginia got more gambling through the legislature and the funding lie is the same.....They funnel it into the general fund to spend on leftist BS.

I can't say how Yongkin's administration is dealing with it.....My guess is the same. Once you allow the nose of the gambling camel under the tent it's all over.

My mother was one of those who had an addiction to gambling. Lotto, dog track, Jai-a-lai Casinos. My sisters witnessed her at the roulette table with 7000.00 dollars on the table and she wouldn't leave until she played all of her winnings back to the house.

Does this include playing the lottery?
Christ.
Nothing worse than the convenience store gambler.
I just want to pay for my pop and gas and always get stuck behind the sad sap trading his fistful of tickets for a garden variety pack of another hundred bucks worth.

The pull tab idiots at the bars are hilarious to watch as they toss twenties like maniacs. At least youth hockey benefits from that suckers bet.
