Who is this "dingbat" person you mention, and where were you driving them?

There is no standard way. How a student understands the concept is most important. If they arrive at the correct without violating any math rules, the answer should be acceptable.
I don't have to, I have alternative ways.I meant using the method you used previously.
Sure old man.The fastest way by using the internet computer.
Run along child.Lol, common core fail
Retaining different methods thru the years will be a problem.I don't have to, I have alternative ways.
Using conjugates would involve fractions, since one number was odd and one number was even.
I could do it, but it would take longer and be more difficult.
That's what good problem solving methods teach.
There is NOT just one way to solve a math problem,
And you just proved my point.
Sure old man.
Pretend we are sitting at the bar and the bartender asks, I'm building a large shop (or ballroom) and I need to know the square footage of the floor of the shop, what is 108 x 92.
You reach for you phone or your 'computer'
You find the app and plug in the numbers, and you look over in amazement as I have already given the bartender the correct answer using mental math.
There are methods that are much quicker than finding your electronic device.
Run along child.
You bore me.
You have yet to address why grades continue to fall like meteorites in the sky ... why we're graduating the dumbest "students" in our history.Run along child.
You bore me.
There is such thing as a standard algorithm.
In fact, the curriculum can indicate when the standard algorithm can be taught, and specifically when it is required to teach up to 5 different strategies that are not the standard algorithm.
Garbage in- garbage out?You have yet to address why grades continue to fall like meteorites in the sky ... why we're graduating the dumbest "students" in our history.
????
Remind me again, how many years did you teach math?Retaining different methods thru the years will be a problem.
You wanted my cooperation. How about returning the favor.PS I am pulling for yhou to reach my age too.I don't have to, I have alternative ways.

After you asked for my cooperation, and you got it, you asked how I solved a math problem. When I told you it was the fastest most simple wlay, you had a fit. Are you certain you can be cooperated with when you stop?Exactly the opposite.
I LOVE teaching you clowns though, you are a very resistant group, but eventually lean that I am correct.
Common Core allows student the ability to express their thought process on a particular problem. There is no "One correct Way"
Many ways of solving a problem are correct.
Old school says...."No, you must do it this way."
Common Core says, "Show your thought process in spoken word or in writing, or a combination of both."
You lose.
I Win.
Common Core Totally for Individual Thinking.
I'm sorry this confuses you.

"Grades" are subjective. You have yet to address why grades continue to fall like meteorites in the sky ... why we're graduating the dumbest "students" in our history.
????
Too funny. When I told you it was the fastest most simple wlay, you had a fit. Are you certain you can be cooperated with when you stop?
Aren't you forgetting that this is a thread about ICE?Remind me again, how many years did you teach math?
"Grades" are subjective.
Knowledge is King.
The top students are still performing like top students in the past.
Sure, with illegals in the schools, and classrooms with 5 different languages being used by students, it makes it very difficult.
Do I wish this wouldn't be the case, of course.
But students that wanted to learn, can learn.
I see the right wingers as a problem, as they are constantly bitching and putting up barriers to success.
You are NOT a teacher, you have no knowledge of the classroom, therefore you should stay in your little lane, and quit bitching.
So, when you attacked me, you were cooperating with me?Too funny.
"a fit"
I showed you an alternative way, that is problem solving my friend.
So, which is it, Winco -- did you not want to learn or did those imaginary bogeymen you call "right wingers" put up barriers preventing your success? But students that wanted to learn, can learn.
I see the right wingers as a problem, as they are constantly bitching and putting up barriers to success.
Yes, omg, Republicans put the clamps on Winco's education. Figures prove that no child left behind had better results than common core has.So, which is it, Winco -- did you not want to learn or did those imaginary bogeymen you call "right wingers" put up barriers preventing your success?
