The way to prevent Fascism is to have separation of powers.

Must be why all democrats have done is to try to eliminate those powers. First impeachment of Trump was based literally on impeaching Trump because he FOLLOWED the separation of powers by listening to the OLC and taking their legal advice of not submitting to Nasty Nancy's requests for legal documents unless she properly submitted them in WRITING exactly because the EO DOES NOT submit to another equal branch of government to operate on their whims! To issue a subpoena, a subcommittee must conform to the resolution establishing its powers. House never voted to give said powers to any subcommittee. House never had any resolution in the first place. Nancy simply gave herself power to do so at a press conference effectively demanding that the Executive office operate AT HER PLEASURE.

In effect: Democrats demanded Trump give up privileges and immunities constitutionally afforded him or Nadler would take away all of his rights period. You cannot conditionally exercise some rights upon the surrender of others effectively removing the separation of powers making the Exec serve under the pleasure of Congress, ergo, legislative dictatorship.

Trump did the proper thing and democrats still impeached him for it. Second impeachment was for basically holding a rally protesting certifying an election where literally thousands of questions still remained as to it legality--- Democratic dictatorship.
