It seems pretty clear from what Rhodes said before the siege on the Capitol and his actions on camera during the siege that his goal was to hinder or stop the government from functioning which he accomplished. So having accomplished his goal, it is only right that he get his just reward. If he does, he will be a hero to Right and if Trump gets in office he would probably pardon him.

There was a campaign on Facebook and Twitter to equate the Cavanugh hearing protests to the Capital siege with misinformation, missing context, and phony pictures.

There are major difference between the protest at the Cavanaugh hearings and the Siege on the Capital. At the Cavanaugh herrings, there was no property damage, no one died and protesters did not break into either he Senate cambers nor the Supreme Court. The Senate called a 90 mins recess for lunch early to discourage protester jeering in the Senate but there was no real delay in the proceedings. In the Siege on the Capital, property was destroyed, the building was broken into, congressmen were threaten, the confirmation was delayed for 6 hours, and 3 people died. The comparison is not even close.

You have to much faith in Trump moving the American people in that way, as if they can't think for themselves on the matters involving their government. Now Trump made claim's, and the people done their homework as best they could, but because Trump hadn't let them down as president, they just added one more thing to the list that leftist were doing to their President.
