States defining age of marital consent? Massachusetts its 12! Other 49 must adapt.

Age of marriage in the United States - Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Well....the first domino fell. States cant define marriage. And....like homo marriage....1 state cant have a definition thats different from the other 49.

In liberal Massachusetts a 12 year old can consent to marry if parents agree. TWELVE! In most others...its 16-18.

Now??? Well....how can oppressed 12 year olds in nearby New York get their marriage rights?

In fact...how can a state define age? Says who? The state? What if a billionaire wants to marry his neighbors 8 year old...and her parents agree to it because she'll be set for life??? What right does a state have to define any of it?

Fags tipped the 1st domino. Not the last one.

"Marriage by Those Under the Age of Consent

Most states allow minors as young as 16 to get married with parental consent, although Massachusetts allows females as young as 12 to get married with parental and judicial consent (14 for males). There is no marriage age limit in California as long as the parties obtain parental and judicial consent. Some states, meanwhile, don't allow marriage for any reason under a certain age.

For the court to grant a marriage license to a couple below the age limit for parental consent, there must be a compelling reason why it would be in their best interests. Typically, courts will grant marriage licenses to young couples either with a child or expecting a baby."

So, for the court to authorize such a marriage, presumedly the 12yo girl has been stat raped and made pregnant. So ya ok, you can get married, but your husband's spending the honeymoon in prison. :) Unless I guess, the would-be husband isn't also the rapist.

That was all good BEFORE last week.

But now....states cannot define marriage. Marriage does not require sex. So sexual consent laws dont apply.

States cannot define marriage. Homos tipped this domino.

Worth noting, this was acceptable to Romney. Coulda changed it, but didn't. :)

"Marriage does not require sex. So sexual consent laws dont apply."

 Sexual consent law is about consensual sex not marriage. Typical fallacy.
Bucs90, just how butt hurt are you? Your anus must be gynormous. Call The Rabbi or Where r my Keys for relief.

Thats right. So it doesnt apply to marriage. States cannot define marriage.

So this begs the question, is there a 12 year old you have your eye on? I wonder what his name is?

There are millions who need protection from perverted liberals.

But now...libs can marry them. Since states cannot define marriagem

Circular reasoning little buddy. States can regulate marriage not define it.

You can't stand not being in control. We had a brother in law cop like that, so we showed him just how wrong was his attitude and his behavior.

bucs90 has real trouble thinking. You should have seen him as a liberal before he became a conservative.

States have every right to define marriage but they must meet certain constitutional guarantees as well. It was all outlined in the Windsor decision. Like it or lump it, the SCOTUS found that bans on same sex marriage didn't meet certain constitutional guarantees. Get over it. Or don't.

If any drugs were legal tomorrow, would you go out and do more drugs simply because they are legal?

Well, Obama DID say this....

‘The Future Must Not Belong To Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam’

No, obiwan, you lied. You did that by posting the terrible poster that had nothing to do with what Obama said. You are a shameful human being.

Where does the Constitution mention age restrictions on marriage? It doesnt.

If a 45 year old wants to marry a 7 year old.....states cant define marriage. Constitution doesnt define marital age limits.

I never said the Constitution defined marital age limits. The states do and they still do despite your obtuse misunderstanding of the recent ruling. You are free to be as obtuse as wish but don't expect the rest to follow to suit.

Also, it might be wise to set up an appointment with your podiatrist. All this foot stomping could have long term damage to your feet.

And the homophobic melt down continues.

We all have the right to marriage- and guess what- rights don't apply in the same way to minors.

The problem with all of these arguments is that you fundamentally do not understand the legal decision that was reached on Friday.

And of course- you refuse to accept it.

Who says state's can't define marriage?

Oh- right- that would be you.

Still butt hurt that State's cannot prevent same gender couples from marrying.

Still ignorant of the ruling from Friday.

And still wrong.
