Age of marriage in the United States - Wikipedia the free encyclopedia
Well....the first domino fell. States cant define marriage. And....like homo marriage....1 state cant have a definition thats different from the other 49.
In liberal Massachusetts a 12 year old can consent to marry if parents agree. TWELVE! In most others...its 16-18.
Now??? Well....how can oppressed 12 year olds in nearby New York get their marriage rights?
In fact...how can a state define age? Says who? The state? What if a billionaire wants to marry his neighbors 8 year old...and her parents agree to it because she'll be set for life??? What right does a state have to define any of it?
Fags tipped the 1st domino. Not the last one.
"Marriage by Those Under the Age of Consent
Most states allow minors as young as 16 to get married with parental consent, although Massachusetts allows females as young as 12 to get married with parental and judicial consent (14 for males). There is no marriage age limit in California as long as the parties obtain parental and judicial consent. Some states, meanwhile, don't allow marriage for any reason under a certain age.
For the court to grant a marriage license to a couple below the age limit for parental consent, there must be a compelling reason why it would be in their best interests. Typically, courts will grant marriage licenses to young couples either with a child or expecting a baby."

So, for the court to authorize such a marriage, presumedly the 12yo girl has been stat raped and made pregnant. So ya ok, you can get married, but your husband's spending the honeymoon in prison.Unless I guess, the would-be husband isn't also the rapist.
That was all good BEFORE last week.
But now....states cannot define marriage. Marriage does not require sex. So sexual consent laws dont apply.
States cannot define marriage. Homos tipped this domino.
Worth noting, this was acceptable to Romney. Coulda changed it, but didn't.
