I know all Presidents do this but lord I wish that the POTUS would just stick to the condition of the nation. We've heard about Haiti; we've heard about Afghan school girls; ugggh!

Goddess forbid those suffering in Haiti should bring down the lightness of conversation and destroy the ambience at your cocktail party.

As for raising the status of schoolgirls in Afghanistan, raising the condition of women and girls raises the conition of all in a country.

Someone recently said that a country that cannot see to the rights and the needs of half of its own population cannot be trusted to do anything else right in managing the business of running its country.

There really should be more to females than going the needy route and using porn to get a little attention.

Freeze on Spending?? What a joke since last year they upped all the budgets by about 20% so the freeze is all smoke and mirrors.
