He came through the Communist Party of China, he was surrounded by left wingers, and killed them when it suited him.

There were 2 factions of the communist party in Russia. Stalin led the right wing camp and Trotsky led the left wing camp.

The Soviet Union officially abandoned socialism in 1921 when Lenin instituted the New Economic Policy allowing for taxation, local trade, some state capitalism... and extreme profiteering.

What I find amazing is that conservatives in America are totally unaware that conservatism exists in ALL societies.

The right to work the right to make their own choices for their own lives. My opinion is that no one should be allowed to have that much power over individuals. So stop comparing Stalin to the good guys in America, the left progressives have more in common with Stalin than the right does. Just look at all the murder caused by progressive gun laws.

Ever taken one of those tests that determine where you're at left or right?

The reality is someone people end up one side, others the other side even when they click things that are from the opposite side. The closer you are to the middle the more mixture you have of left and right wing polices.
Then you have libertarian and whatever else is there.

Then you have the extreme. You can be extreme and not be left or right wing, just extreme. Maybe someone would say you're more left or more right, but it doesn't have to be like that.

Why do you think Mao was left wing?

Because he was Communist?

Because he was friendly with Nixon?

Because he killed loads of birds?

Because he killed loads of Chinese?

Because he'd change policy and have those of the previous policy purged, then purge those of the later policy at some point anyway?
