The dichotomy between the desire for material wealth, and how far a society will go toward that end.

Today is a special birthday, that of a man who exemplifies that dichotomy, and is a hero and an ogre....depending on whether one champions material equality, or human life.

1.Every Marxist is a materialist, as Left-wing ideas are predicated on Marx’s materialist view. Philosophically, the term implies that only material things are real. And this is an advantage for this political view because, even though it is based on abolishing private property, human being are acquisitive, and want lots of ‘things.’

2. The problem for Leftism is that it does not respect human life, and in the struggle for material equality, leaves a trail of blood and death. Spiritualism and respect for life, loosely called religion, is what stands in the way of the ultimate success of Marxism.

3.Which brings us to today’s birthday boy….

Pol Pot was born Saloth Sar on May 19, 1925, in Kompong Thom Province, Cambodia. He was the eighth of nine children born to relatively prosperous parents who owned 50 acres of rice paddies.”
Pol Pot

4. While no one salutes Pol Pot’s destruction, his philosophy reigns in many parts of the world, particularly in the major political party of the United States, the Democrat Party. It was nurtured by the 32nd President, who had startlingly good relationship with both Stalin and Hitler, both socialists/Marxists.

5. When the horrors of Hitler’s slaughters were made known, the same people, the Progressives, had to jettison them. What is largely hidden is that the Soviet socialists were, by every metric, worse than the Nazis. Yet, due to the neo-Marxist influence in our society, the facts are kept on the down-low.

Pol Pot had the very same attitude toward human life as Hitler, and Stalin…..and the Liberal abortionists.

While this is certainly true of our ersatz crop of communists, the Clinton Crime Family, Obama, etc., I'm gonna say that there are actually lots of 'true believers.'

And they are the most psychopathic of the lot.

Not according to religious folks.

6. Perhaps you’ve learned about the ‘Utopia’ that Communist Pol Pot brought to his nation.

Starting in April ’75, the Communist Khmer Rouge defeated Lon Nol in Cambodia. Democrats, starting with the 1974 budget, refused to allocate another penny, and forbade US military action “in or over” Indochina. Just as the right had warned, the communists began a systematic war on the entire populations of their nation, so savage, it is hard to comprehend. It is estimated that the number of dead numbered between 1.7 to 2.5 million out of a population of around 8 million.
Killing Fields - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

a. Frequently found in totalitarian death cults, the Khmer Rouge cadres were mostly teenagers, some as young as ten or twelve, produced by cruelty and indoctrination. Consistent with other communist conquests, the Khmer Rouge began the massive and grotesque project of remaking society from scratch. They began by emptying the cities: every single person in Phnom Penh- including the lame, hospital patients on intravenous drips, the sick and the elderly, mothers who had just given birth, the pregnant, and infants, - everyone was forced to march. Khmer Rouge rule of Cambodia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

b. “The pedicab did not move to the side of the road so a soldier killed the driver with machine gun fire….A young soldier thrust his rifle through the window of the car, then shot the driver through the heart, and he crumpled in the arms of his wife…”I’m going to pick up my family,” Without warning, a soldier sprayed him with machine gun bullets….The frantic parents protested and sought to reclaim their children on the other side of the communist column. The patrol leader thereupon fired a volley of rifle shots, killing both mother and father.”
Barron and Paul, “Murder of a Gentle Land, “ p.26-28.

c. Later, to save bullets, the Khmer Rouge switched to other methods of execution, including clubbing, asphyxiation, and dousing the head with gasoline and setting it on fire.
Courtois, et.al., “The Black Book of Communism,” p. 611

Many public school students can see the similarity between Pol Pot and Hitler.

Doesn’t any government school grad wonder why such facts are not taught about Stalin’s Soviet Union?

7. Many seem to believe that education is the cure for the systematic genocide that every communist regime inflicts….on its own citizens.

Nothing could be less true.

Pol Pot, was the leader of the Cambodian communist movement known as the Khmer Rouge[3] and was Prime Minister of Democratic Kampuchea from 1976–1979. Pol Pot's leadership, in which he attempted to "cleanse" the country, resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1.7–2.5 million people…. he qualified for a scholarship that allowed for technical study in France. He studied radio electronics at the EFR in Paris from 1949 to 1953

Khmer Rouge leader Khieu Samphan, who had studied in Paris, wrote in his doctoral dissertation that the Cambodian economy and social structure would be renewed by tapping “the dormant energy of the peasant mass” against the cities.” Kissinger, “The White House Years,” p. 518.

Mao was a rebellious teen-ager. His father wanted him to be a farmer; Mao wanted more education beyond the village grammar school. Mao left home at age 13 to attend an advanced school in a nearby district and in 1911 arrived in Changsha, the provincial capital, to attend secondary school…. He tried law enforcement, business and history before settling on education, graduating from a teachers' training school in 1918. He departed for Beijing to attend the university. “The civilized people in the world, the ones who hide behind culture and art and politics…and even the law, they’re the ones to watch out for. They’ve got that perfect disguise goin’ for them, you know? But they’re the most vicious. They’re the most dangerous people on earth.”

Unless one has faith in an afterlife.

Hence, the disassociation between Communism and religion.

8. Pol Pot was one of those highly educated psychopaths.

Education alone does nothing except camouflage and amplify evil.

"No country in Europe, except Britain, had a better education system than Germany at the onset of the Hitler era." Lance Morrow, "Evil: An Investigation," p. 123

What does that tell you about the relationship between education and evil?

On January 20, 1942, fifteen high-ranking Nazi party and German government leaders gathered for an important meeting. They met in a wealthy section of Berlin at a villa by a lake known as Wannsee. Reinhard Heydrich, who was SS chief Heinrich Himmler's head deputy, held the meeting for the purpose of discussing the "final solution to the Jewish question in Europe" The Wannsee Conference and the "Final Solution"

Eight of the 15 were academics with advanced degrees

9. A recent study at Princeton University by Alan Krueger and Jitka Maleckova, called "Education, Poverty, Political Violence and Terrorism: Is There a Causal Connection?" argues this point. One piece of the Krueger-Maleckova evidence involves 129 members of Hezbollah who died in action, mostly against Israel, from 1982 to 1994. Hezbollah is now designated by the U.S. as a terrorist organization. Biographical information from the Hezbollah newspaper al-Ahd indicates that the fighters who died were, on average, more educated and less impoverished than the Lebanese population of comparable age and regional origin….

Moreover, the Palestinians' adherence to the view that the mass murder of civilians was not terrorism was independent of education and higher among those working than unemployed. Hence, support for terrorism was not reduced by increases in education and income….a study by Charles Russell and Bowman Miller (reprinted in the 1983 book Perspectives on Terrorism) considered 18 revolutionary groups, including the Japanese Red Army, Germany's Baader-Meinhof Gang, and Italy's Red Brigades. The authors found that "the vast majority of those individuals involved in terrorist activities as cadres or leaders is quite well-educated. In fact, approximately two-thirds of those identified terrorists are persons with some university training, [and] well over two-thirds of these individuals came from the middle or upper classes in their respective nations or areas."

Just like Pol Pot.

10. In 1975 there were more than five hundred doctors working in Cambodia (including Haing Ngor, who played Dith Pran in the movie “Killing Fields”). By 1978 only forty remained alive. Peter Rodman, “More Precious Than Peace: Fighting and Winning the Cold War in the Third World,” p.186-187.

The record of Communist states massacring large numbers of their own people is well documented. Starting with the Soviet Union, which pioneered the terror-famine, mass deportations, concentration camps and mass executions, Stalin murdered up to 20 million. Under Mao Tse-Tung, an estimated 65 million Chinese were killed by execution, torture, and starvation. Vietnam, over a million. North Korea, about two million.

Courtois, Ibid. p.4.

While high on the list proportionally, the Cambodian Communists were not qualitatively different from the rest.

11.In the light of the above, it remains a mystery how liberals could have misjudged the nature of Communist movements, and not anticipated the result of withdrawal of all aid to noncommunist governments.

From ’70-’73, North Vietnamese forces and Khmer Rouge fought and won against US-supported Cambodians. “Lon Nol's troops quickly fell apart from lack of supplies, lack of support, and lack of leadership.”
Before the Holocaust: The End of Cambodia

What sort of impoverished imagination, or understanding of history, led these liberal opinion makers?

NYTimes Anthony Lewis: “Some will find the whole bloodbath debate unreal. What future possibility could be more terrible than the reality of what is happening in Cambodia now?” Anthony Lewis in the New York Times, March 17, 1975.

BTW, the Washington Post, pretty much the same: "The threatened 'bloodbath' is less ominous than a continuation of the current bloodletting.".
VISION & VALUES: Useful Idiots: Then and Now « The Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College

And the LATimes urged the cutoff of funds to the Lon Nol government "for the good of the suffering Cambodian people..."
Peter Rodman, “More Precious Than Peace: Fighting and Winning the Cold War in the Third World,” p.186.

It's almost as though Liberals WANTED the communists to win.

Almost?

Wanna know how far Democrats would go?

"Lib Journo: I’d Vote for Biden Even If ‘He Boiled Babies And Ate Them’

At least one liberal journalist would cast a vote for Joe Biden even if the former vice president consumed the boiled flesh of infants, which sounds a lot worse than shooting someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue.

"I would vote for Joe Biden if he boiled babies and ate them," writes Katha Pollitt, a columnist for the Nation, a left-wing publication with considerable pro-Russian sympathies. "He wasn't my candidate, but taking back the White House is that important."

Pollitt's pledge to support a child-murdering cannibal in the 2020 election came in an article challenging the credibility of Tara Reade, the ex-staffer who accused Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993. Even if Reade is telling the truth, Pollitt argues, liberals should vote for Biden because "We do not have the luxury of sitting out the election to feel morally pure or send a message about sexual assault and #BelieveWomen."

This appears to be a relatively common sentiment among liberals....."
