"Of all sports pro or amateur, what are some records you believe will never be broken?"
I'll start the ball rolling with what I believe are some obvious ones...
I'll start the ball rolling with what I believe are some obvious ones...
- Joe Dimaggio's 56-game hitting streak. Given the current situation with baseball and last season being shortened as well as the 2021 season possibly being cut short too, NO ONE is going to hit safely in 56 straight games ever again.
- Michael Phelps 28 Olympic medals including 23 gold. Since there may not even be an Olympics postponed from 2020 this year, there will never be another athlete to win 28 medals let alone 23 gold.
- Tom Brady's seven Super Bowl victories. It's hard enough to be the quarterback for at least two Super Bowl wins but SEVEN? No chance of a repeat.
- 1972 Miami Dolphins undefeated season. The New England Patriots came close falling just one Super Bowl victory short of going undefeated. But it's very hard to go unbeaten anymore given parity.
- Pro boxing-Fighter Len Wickwar born in England fought from 1928 to 1947 but had 473 bouts that resulted in 4,020 rounds of fighting. His final record was 342-86. Do you think anyone these days is going to finish his career with 473 fights? NO WAY.
